THE NEW MOON - if EARTH revolves around SUN and MOON around EARTH, at some point the MOON would pass in front of the SUN.

Why don't you tell me when the last one was? What year? What day?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1253530You can read about it on this webpage. [ link to www.mreclipse.com] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1253373I know that, I just want you to tell me the date, you know, the date when this moon got in front of the same sun I had in my skies in Canada? Or is this another moon that science-fiction filmed in front of another sun somewhere other than where I live? (Canada) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1253530 Seems like you think a solar eclipse could be seen everywhere on earth but that's wrong. The so called "umbra" is a shadow circle with some 100 miles diameter, only there you can see the eclipse. More info here: [ link to en.wikipedia.org] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1253746Oh, of course it is. What was I thinking? Seeing the solar-eclipse when I have that same SUN in my skies. Well that's just silly! How could I ever see a rock (MOON) the size of the sun passing in front of the sun? Silly me.
