Who Wrote the URANTIA Book?

The Urantia Book's clear mark of "demonic" authorship is its total lack of understanding regarding the Christian doctrine of sin or salvation. Judaism and Christianity are continuously portrayed as "primitive" religions practiced by "primitive men." The biblical concept of progressive revelation is exchanged for an evolutionary theory which is used to explain most religious differences. Of course, the Urantia religionists considers themselves at the top of this spiritual evolutionary chain. While the book quotes and paraphrases several portions of the Bible, distortions of key biblical truths are found throughout. For example, Paper #89, Sin, Sacrifice, and Atonement states:

As the savage mind evolved to that point where it envisaged both good and bad spirits, and when the taboo received the solemn sanction of evolving religion, the stage was all set for the appearance of the new conception of sin. p. 975

The concepts of substitutionary atonement and propitiation with blood are viewed by the Urantia as grotesque and grossly primitive.

Primitive man believed that something special must be done to win the favor of the gods; only advanced civilization recognizes a consistently even-tempered and benevolent God. p.974

Similar to other cults who deny the inherited consequences upon humanity of Adam and Eve's transgression, the gospel according to the Urantia speaks of:

the Fatherhood of God and the universal brotherhood of all men. p. 1085

and

God...who dwells, by his spirit, in every sincere human soul. p. 1453.

There are conflicting stories ["various histories"] regarding the origin of the Urantia Papers. According to long-time faithful, Ernest Moyer (author of a book on the group's beginnings entitled THE BIRTH OF A DIVINE REVELATION--The Mechanical Origin of the Urantia Papers), information similar to that found in the Urantia Book was communicated by various "spirit beings" using a male individual ("contact person") while that person slept (a.k.a. Sleeping Subject "SS"). This communication was but a preparatory exercise. Beginning 1905-11 and over a 20+ year period, divine "revelations" were hand-recorded by a Dr. William S. Sadler, a noted Chicago physician and psychiatrist. Dr. Sadler had extensive and close ties to the heretical Seventh Day Adventist sect/cult. Sadler is said to have engaged in conversations with "spirit visitors" as the SS functioned as an automatistic portal to a spiritual dimension. In Sadler's own words, SS was "sort of a clearing house for the coming and going of alleged extra-planetary personalities" i.e. angelic [demonic] beings. However, Sadler would later deny that these conversations were the source for what would later become the Papers. Moyer elaborately documents Sadler's ultimate claim--that the "final Papers appeared miraculously...out of thin air." "The actual Revelation by invisible divine agents was accomplished by placing the writing miraculously on paper in groups, or sets. The form was in handwriting which was then physically transcribed by Emma Christensen (Christy), a trained secretary and member of Sadler's family, into typewritten form. After proof reading for accuracy the original papers disappeared equally miraculously." See General Statement and A [not so] Brief Account. In another account, SS, in response to numerous written questions, is said to have delivered the Papers to Dr. Sadler. Due to the extraordinary volume of detailed and complex information, it is difficult to conclude that the Urantia Book was the product of one or more inflated imaginations. While that is not out of the realm of possibility, a more plausible explanation is some form of genuine demonic influence. Similar to the claim for the Book of Mormon, divine revelation did not cease with the 66 canonical books of the Old and New Testaments. However, the Mormon product pales by comparison to the encyclopedic detail and complexity of the Urantia Book. The fact that the Urantia Book agrees with the Bible in certain areas confirms the fact that the author (human or demonic) had some level of understanding regarding spiritual themes. Further, while select statements found in the Urantia Book are not necessarily contradictory to the Bible, a number of critical topics are diametrically in disagreement with sound, orthodox Christian teaching.

The UB does not say Christ came from pliadian whatever, it says he was born here on earth.

In fact nor does it say his name is Sananda, thats from the Phoenix journals.

As far as that goes those two writings differ quite a lot.

So since you lied and said you read it when you clearly did not, you yourself cannot be trusted.

This article gives a very good explanation of what UB is. And dear readers can compare with UB text if they wish just to make sure that the author knows what he is talking about....

Introduction

This fast growing cult is considered a "new age", UFO cult. It is based on a book called the "Urantia" book. The word "Urantia" is allegedly an ancient name for the Earth. This cult is also known as the "Urantia Society", "Urantia Foundation", "Urantia Fellowship" and the "Urantia Brotherhood". Like other cults that claim extra-Biblical revelations, it is claimed that the Urantia book compliments the Bible, and that Christians should not be wary of it. But in reality, the Urantia book is in direct conflict with the Bible on many important doctrines, including the most important one which is the issue of salvation from eternal damnation in Hell through faith in Jesus Christ.

The false "Jesus" of the Urantia book

One thing all cults get wrong is who Jesus is, and what his his role or purpose is in our salvation. The Urantia book is no exception. The Jesus of the Urantia book is not the same Jesus of the Bible. In fact they are polar opposites. If Satan can simply get us to believe in a false, repackaged Jesus, he can effectively lure us away from being saved through faith in the real Jesus of the Bible. Masterpiece of Deception

The Urantia book may be one of Satan's greatest masterpieces of deception. It is so seductive because it cleverly plays on many human emotions.

Satan understands the intense curiosity that humans posses and he plays to it by spinning elaborate fairy tales of other universes, inhabited planets, hierarchies of spiritual beings, etc. in the Urantia book. Most of the Urantia book flies in the face of God's statement to us in Deuteronomy 29:29, which says, "The secret [things belong] unto the LORD our God: but those [things which are] revealed [belong] unto us and to our children for ever, that [we] may do all the words of this law".

This book is especially seductive to people who are already predisposed to believing in UFO's and extraterrestrials. People who believe in any of the various Christian compromises with evolution are also more vulnerable to being deceived by it. This massive 2,097 page book is so rich in information and details that it would take years to try to understand it all. That's part of what keeps its supporters coming back year after year to learn more.

Satan plays on our fears in the Urantia book by soothing us with lying reassurances that Hell does not exist, and by focusing on God's love and mercy while distracting us away from God's judgment and wrath against those who do not accept Jesus as their savior.

He plays to our pride and or desire for power by telling us that those who study the Urantia book are more highly evolved and enlightened than those who believe in that allegedly outdated book, the Bible.

He exploits our desire to trust by false reassurances that these extra-Biblical revelations compliment the Bible.

He plays to our desire to be loved by mixing in messages of love with the poison that will ultimately lead to a spiritual death in Hell.

There has been so much good stuff come out of this thread. The one thing that really sticks out to me is Amos 5:8 and how the New Age folks tried to use this as see, the Bible says to seek out the creators of Orion.

Beautiful deception; it reads that way in the NIV; but if you take it back from the original Hebrew, Orion isn't mentioned at all.

My take from this is; if Aliens land and start quoting Amos 5:8, don't believe it. Peace

Candace Frieze has been thankful for the free publicity given her here. Of course she's thankful: like any other new age spiritual scammer she wants publicity for herself. That's how she gets attention and followers.

Those scammers prey on vulnerable people who are looking for some answers or who are confused in search of any kind of relief. And with any kind of publicity the scammers are sure to hit at least some vulnerable targets. It's the same with any advertising, propaganda or thought control. Same techniques, same goals, same egotistical mind-set. Buy this! Believe me! Do it NOW! It's easy for them to parrot some slogans for their own benefit.

It is very typical that the scammers don't give you time to think, and they don't give you all the necessary information either, so that you could think things thoroughly through. On the contrary, you are deliberately being given only the info that they want to give you - and nothing of the opposite info.

It's easy to mix some truth with a lot of garbage – in order to sell you the garbage that you neither want nor need in the first place. It's easy for these new age spiritual scammers to use some trigger words and spiritual phrases to gain your attention. Those can be easily learned by any ego for its own ends: to distract you from what's real and what would be a real benefit for your soul. But what's the real deal here?

Candace Frieze, who's given herself a lot of titles like Mighty Messenger et al, wants to sell you her ideas and imaginations. Those include:
1)Jupiter ignition
2)Stasis
3)NESARA
4)and other similar stuff

Regarding Jupiter ignition and stasis, those are just lies to distract you from the real truth. Candace wants to sell you lies, she wants you to believe those lies, in spite of them lacking any evidence, because she needs you to BELIEVE HER BLINDLY. You are not given any real evidence, because she needs you to believe what she says, no matter what it is or will be. How can we know Jupiter ignition and stasis are lies in fact and reality? Take a look around. See for yourself. The "evidence" given to you consists of Candace's and some other spiritual scammers' empty claims, some youtube videos based on those claims, and some blind believers insisting on believing that stuff as evidence. No need for thinking here! No criticism allowed! Do not present or believe any evidence that would undermine Candace's lies! She wants you to believe her lies. And that's it.

Regarding NESARA, that is just a criminal act and scam. But

Candace has promised that everyone will be delivered a lot of money through NESARA implementation, that is every human being or at least every American. What would happen if everyone got, say, million dollars - money would lose its value, of course. But this simple economics and the fact that money is nothing in itself but just symbolic doesn't seem to bother her thinking or those who advertise this modern day cargo cult scam as truth.

There has been significant increase (+30) in AHSupport members since Candace started her latest recruiting work based on her predictions of Jupiter ignition and other stuff. That is what she’s (been) doing here. She does need new followers since many of her previous followers have quitted. Of course she's also quite a believer in her own stuff herself. Quite delusional, that is. How can a person really believe her own lies and keep believing them, totally ignoring all facts and reality. How should that be called? Deception? Of course other people do that also, but that is no excuse for someone claiming to be somehow enlightened and capable of showing others the way. That is ridiculous! Why not ask George W Bush for guidance, just the same.

AHSupport was closed from public eyes last year, after the site moderator lost his faith in Candace and stated that she had totally lost it. The new moderator started to censor the site heavily (they call it ‘cleaning’) and shortly after that the site was closed, so I haven’t been able to read it any more. That is also why many of the links to Yahoo-group in this thread don’t work: they probably point to AHSupport. The poster is so stupid not realizing that the links won’t open to a private or should I say secret site; or maybe it’s considered enough that the members of AHSupport can open and read them. What's the point in that? Repetition. Education. The followers must be kept in the illusion that something great is happening all the time. That their belief in nonentity isn't in vain. That they are not getting duped. This thread too might be part of that training. It might even be one of their ‘homework assignments’. There is another thread here called ‘A dear calling from God Aton before Stasis’ (frequently linked to in this thread) that seems to be one of AHSupporters’ homework assignments. They have simply been asked or EXPECTED to copypaste that material there. Threads like these are Candace Frieze’s idea of ‘supporting the idea’ or ‘spreading the word’ (getting new recruits/followers). They’re gonna spread the word and conquer the world, I guess.

Candace Frieze is making it all up while she goes. And she gets her information from questionable websites and of course from the various voices going in her head. She is quite obsessed with this Jupiter ignition thing, because her followers really have been waiting for that to happen. When Jupiter failed to ignite last year, Candace has been waiting this January/February for Jupiter to ignite, because that’s when Jupiter is ‘behind the sun’ and so her predictions on that would be accurate. So she was going quite maniac already in January, trying to find any kind of evidence from space sites so that she could make her statement.

And she got enough evidence, from solar activity and other stuff that she doesn’t even comprehend, so that she could make her statement and redeem her predictions. Notice that she was sure, as Candace, on January 31st that Jupiter had ignited. Then she made that statement in this thread on February the 9th, as ‘urantian’. On February the 12th she made the ‘official statement’ of Jupiter ignition, as Christ Michael. But she had been planning it for years (at least ever since April 2007), and for weeks she had been trying to collect some strange enough evidence to support the claim. Already before that ‘evidence gathering’ she had been calculating the right timing based on her self-made drawings on paper of the movements of Jupiter in our solar system. Yeah, no way the astronomers of the world or their computer models are able to know the movements of Jupiter. Nope, since Candace has made a drawing of our solar system a year ago and relies only on that drawing and her own eyes: what she doesn’t see isn’t there, and what she sees is a fact. And the followers believe all that. Amazing.

Get clue Candace!! We know who you are!! It's referring to the end times and the conditions that indicate the arrival of the end times, knowledge increasing which has been going ballistic recently. And people traveling near and far. Until 200 years ago approximately until the beginning of time horseback is as fast as anyone could travel.

What makes you think if it is not referring to the Bible that it is the Urantia stuff? Could be the book of Mormon or the Betty Crocker cookbook with the title of the Book.

On a unrelated note; the spell checker recommends instead of Urantia - Urania, Uranium, Frantic, Uranus, and Obscuration.

So your so called prophecy is also false.

Tell me did you go to church last sunday?

Your efforts to shut down or debunk the UB are not working because there is truth in it, it may not be perfect, as it was written by men.

You think that the Bible is completely true? how did the people that wrote the Bible get their information? maybe inspired by God? maybe God talked to them?

How can God as described in the Bible be love but also hate?
