It's easy to see the Urantia book has the same tone as the newage spiritual bullshit with its mumbojumbo technical terms that really don't make any sense when analysed. Behind all the crap about infinite potential, experiential ascension, mansion worlds and other hocus-pocus, one can easily see the usual satanic deception of the godhood of man and immortality -- The same BS satan used to deceive Eve in the garden.
Quoting: glpacc I take the Urantia Book as a fun sort of Christian fiction. It's a neat thought experiment concerning the details of what happened in Earth's pre-history. When it comes to spiritual truth though, you have to stick with the Bible. Jesus said, "by your fruits you shall know them" in reference to false prophets. I grew up Baptist, but honestly the only group of people who profess Christ that consistently produce good fruit as a group are the Mormons. Evangelicals need to pray and think about what it means to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. That includes arguing with others on the internet; it's hard to see how that is demonstrating the love of God or loving others as yourself (i.e. the 1st & 2nd greatest commandments that are the foundations for all of scripture according to Jesus). Quoting: VoiceOfReason 3280012 Just for the record ... A "False prophet" is recognized by a false prophesie, not fruit of the spirit. Also the quote about the fruit of the spirit is wrong...And pertains to recognizing fellow Christians not prophets... Peace , Joy, long suffering,etc... are all good fruits you see in the life of a Christian... And there are many Christians all around you not just in a particular denomination, look at their fruit.
