Enfamil is kosher, from what I've read. Nothing is labeled on the packaging though.

From what I understand, Similac has a huge market in places like Malaysia. The plants over there are all Halal certified, because people wouldn't buy it otherwise.
It got out on the Internet a few years ago that the American Similac plants were not Halal, (the formula is not exported from here to there), and their sales overseas dipped.
So they started making the American stuff Halal too. It's all about $$$$.
However, I'd like to note that one of their formulas, Alimentum, is not Halal, because it contains some pork products in it (it's a hydrolyzed protein formula for babies with milk protein allergies). They wouldn't change the formula.

How do you know I'm not a foster parent or have an adopted child, or if I'm babysitting someone else's baby? What if I have had a double masectomy?

Yes. I called Similac Consumer Care - 1-800-670-7878 and they confirmed most of the similac formulas are Halal and Kosher.

If you want to confirm any specific milk product it is wise to call them and tell them that about which milk you want to confirm whether it is halal or haram because few formulas are haram according to them.

Maple Lodge Farms. Here in Ontario has all their chickens blessed by whatever the Islamic priests or whatever they are called. Even though they only brand some of their products Halal certified. everything they sell could be halal certified. I think they will piss a lot of people off if every product said Halal certified.
