People like being spied on and cavity searched as long as it doesn't affect their facebook or TV time.

You don't see Obama repealing anything do you? Nope. He's on their team.

I think the P.A.T.I.O.T. Act stinks to high heaven.

3 provisions got extended...The sections of the Act that stay in force will authorize court-approved roving wiretaps that permit surveillance on multiple phones.(In other words a warrant to tap the individual,not the device)

Allow court-approved seizure of records and property in anti-terrorism operations and permit surveillance against so-called lone wolves, non-US citizens engaged in terrorism who may not be part of a recognized terrorist group.


Please explain which of these provisions is so evil and why?

It is evil because the "terror" threat is a false threat based upon lies. 911 was a corporate boon-doggle to usher in systematic Machiavellian/Draconian controls over the population of the US, so they could steal trillions upon trillions of tax payer dollars with no threat of dissent because dupes like you support this type of bullshit.

My Republican rep, Tom McClintock, voted against it - one of only four Repubs that voted against it. He's also the one that got up and gave a speech in Congress objecting to Mexico's president coming up here and telling Obama and congress what to do about Arizona. GLP search his name if you want to see that speech - there was a thread about it last May.

I wish he was better known because he and Ron Paul are the only Repubs I'd vote for in 2012. And there are no Dems I'd vote for thus far. So I guess I'll have to do a write-in vote again. Yea, it's a wasted vote but just can't bring myself to vote for a lessor of two evils.

It's just all one big party trying to give us the illusion that they differ with their dog and pony shows while at same time lining their pockets with our money as they lead us to slaughter.

it is shocking to look at what we are up against... all of those representatives voted to violate the Constitution and potentially violate your 4th Amendment rights if you are deemed suspicious...

forward the Washington Youre Fired Segment or the Judge Napolitano speech on why the Patriot Act is unconstitutional to your elected officials and ask them why they voted for it and if they read the whole thing...

"Last night, aside from the House passing their 10 month extension of the "PATRIOT" Act, the Senate attempted to sneak through a 3 year extension by unanimous consent.
Thankfully for those of us fighting the renewal, Senator Rand Paul objected, meaning the Senate will have to go through the entire procedure for passing this bill."
