i don't believe that part for a second... there may be some items that gets very expensive, but there will always be food items that everyone else can afford...

if majority can't afford food, that means all stores will be closing down.. no buyers = no profit, all malls, all auto-dealers, almost all food stores will be closing down, the ones that are open will have a lot of security guards.
and people will riot obviously.

But base on what Lindsey says it sounds like TPTB don't want riots in the USA. So i would think they would rape the rest of the world to keep us from rioting...

Yes I call BS on this too if food was so high no one could afford it the stores wouldn't let the inventory sit on the shelves and spoil they would mark it down until it sold so as to not take a total loss.

Lindsey says the shelves won't be bare but no one will be able to afford food.

This makes sense only if there was a deflationary collapse ie no money available to purchase anything. Food would theoretically sit on the shelf until spoiled because no one has any money at all. If there is hyperinflation the store would at least mark down existing inventory until it sold to recover some cost before spoilage. Then adjust inventory to meet demand based on cost resulting in bare shelves.

the dollar is weaker, but it doesn't look like its disappearing... one can argue is it really weaker, I can buy an LCD tv, super fast laptop/desktop for dirt cheap now than 3 years ago.. purchasing power down?? doesn't seem like to me... 10yrs ago, my slows computer cost $2000 and people made less money... now people make more money and the top of the line electronics are dirt cheap...

but seriously, food prices in the USA will not cost so much that majority can not afford it... USA would rape canada and mexico to keep prices affordable in the USA.
