I love how the teabaggers have gone from outrage at banks, to outrage at unions in less than a year.

It is not either, or. The shake down of our Treasury was done by BOTH the banksters and the unionistas - both major new world order power players.

If you could get your left/right head out of your ass, you would be able to see the corruption of GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE unions AND the BANKSTERS. Add to that the fascist "free energy" corporate pigs who have shaken down Americans, too.

None of this is constitutional. None of this serves the American people - it is wealth transfer from you to the globalists.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1047610

Yes, yes. How much did the unions cost the government in, say, 2007?
 Quoting: Doktor Howl

Unions didn't cost the "government" ANYTHING is 2007.

Neither did Social Security, or those 15 aircraft carriers or whatever.

It's the taxpayers that wind up footing the bill. Not the "government". The "government" doesn't pay for ANYTHING.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1279287

Okay. So how much was it?
 Quoting: Doktor Howl

I don't know the total bill, but my local berg just raised my property tax bill by 25%, even though they lowered the valuation of my house from $212,000 to $135,000.

Now I'm paying property taxes of $4500 a year on a house that's worth $135,000 (assuming I could even sell it for that) so the town can pay our unionized cops $97 fucking thousand a year for sitting in front of the Dunkin Donuts all fucking day long.

$97,000 a year for ONE worthless unionized cop.

Plus health bennies and pension, of course.

So the total bill is more like $175,000 a year for one worthless unionized cop.

In my town, yes. We could get rid of at least half the cops, cut the pay for the rest of them by 50%, and we'd still have more cops than we need.

Do you think a patrol cop should make $97,000 a year (plus bennies and pension) for doing nothing?

Because nothing is what they do, when they're not generating revenue for the town by writing bullshit traffic tickets.

The last time there was a serious crime in this town, 10 years ago, they called in the state police to do the investigation and had the locals standing out in the street directing traffic.

The tea baggers WERE NEVER outraged at the banks.

Right when public anger was surging the tea party "appeared" and starting shouting nonsense about socialism and Obama's kenyan brother. They're run, owned, and operated by the corporations and especially banks.

This time next year they'll be rallying against the minimum wage and mining regulations (Koch brothers are in the mining biz).

Remember the Tea Party before the stupids found out, though. There were a lot of people in the early stages of the movement that were trying to stand for their principles, and those were the principles of a person with above-average intelligence that was sick of all the lies and corruption. When the Tea Party was compromised, it happened that the media did its job well, and the stupids fell right into place. There are still a lot of people that are politically and socially aware, and some choose to still align themselves with the Tea Party, but the others have little voice. It doesn't mean they've gone away.

Koch-Funded Book Argues Against Mine Safety Laws In West Virginia

Paul Nyden, writing in the Charleston Gazette this Sunday, revealed that Koch Industries — the massive conglomerate of oil, chemical, manufacturing, timber, hedge fund, coal, and shipping interests run by the right-wing ideologues David and Charles Koch — has seeded West Virginia with several conservative front groups. Koch foundations provide the cash for anti-government efforts in the Mountain State, including a right-wing “think tank” called the Public Policy Foundation of West Virginia and for free-market faculty members at West Virginia University. Nyden notes that Russell Sobel, a local economist whose research and writing has been underwritten by Koch fronts, argues against the minimum wage and against mine safety laws

‘Anonymous’ targets the brothers Koch, claiming attempts ‘to usurp American Democracy’

"In a world where corporate money has become the lifeblood of political influence, the labor unions are one of the few ways citizens have to fight against corporate greed," the release added. "Anonymous cannot ignore the plight of the citizen-workers of Wisconsin, or the opportunity to fight for the people in America's broken political system. For these reasons, we feel that the Koch brothers threaten the United States democratic system and, by extension, all freedom-loving individuals everywhere."
