I don't know the total bill, but my local berg just raised my property tax bill by 25%, even though they lowered the valuation of my house from $212,000 to $135,000.
Now I'm paying property taxes of $4500 a year on a house that's worth $135,000 (assuming I could even sell it for that) so the town can pay our unionized cops $97 fucking thousand a year for sitting in front of the Dunkin Donuts all fucking day long.
$97,000 a year for ONE worthless unionized cop.
Plus health bennies and pension, of course.
So the total bill is more like $175,000 a year for one worthless unionized cop.
