Australian Carbon Tax, Tony Abbott would scrap it if he was PM

Scrapping the carbon tax (if it was introduced), is the only sensible thing to do. We don't need a carbon tax to stop global warming. Global warming already stopped by itself.


"TONY Abbott has promised a Coalition government would repeal a carbon tax that it inherited - in what Julia Gillard claims is the most reckless political position taken by a national leader in 15 years.

Speaking after shadow cabinet approved the promise to repeal the tax, Mr Abbott said: ''We will oppose it in opposition. We will rescind it in government. If the Coalition wins the next election, you can be absolutely confident that there will be no mining tax and no carbon tax.''"
