US Mint Halts Silver Eagle Sales...again!!!
This is what currently comes up when you try to order a silver eagle from the US mint. Not only did they have to suspend sales last year, but all they did was copy and paste the message, it still says 2010 ha ha!! Doesn't matter what kind of silver eagle either, circulated/uncirc..they stopped all sales.

Shit will be hitting the fan soon in the silver market. Even better than the physical silver market will be silver miners. I recently wrote a blog on some of the most popular silver miners and one of the two I bought last week has already net me a 27% gain in 4 trading days. If you invest in silver but don't invest in the companies that dig it out of the ground for you, you are missing out on even better gains right now.

Egypt also just halted gold sales. They don't want any gold leaving the country even jewelery owned by private citizens. India and China have been in talks to start trading oil in gold. China has reduced it's rare earth metal exports by 35% while not exporting ANY silver at all. Italy just called for a return to gold backed currency. We're about to raise the debt ceiling and have another round of Quantitative Easing come due around June. The US Dollar index is dropping. The housing market is even worse than it was in 2008. Bank failures have increased since 2008. Leaders are being toppled and fleeing their countries with gold...starting to get the picture? There is a reason leaders, countries and smart money investors aka "high rollers" are dropping major loot in metals. What the hell else are you supposed to invest in at a time where the entire house of cards that is the global economy could come crashing down at any second? I know where, the only currency that has been used for over 5,000 years: gold and silver. Paper money is still an infant in the world of currency and it's obvious the global ponzi scheme is coming to an end as a complete and utter failure. Unless you own a bank, in that case, you did well...and phuck you.

Many states are even looking at alternatives to the dollar, mainly actual silver and gold or backed by silver/gold.

All of that is bullish news for silver and other precious metals. Shit, half of that would be enough to make smart money move to metals. And none of that even takes in to account any of this drama plaguing the planet.

Still plenty of time to buy in to the silver game if you have been sitting on the fence. Don't worry about daily moves up or down, think about long term and where the silver market is headed in the future. Pretty soon people will be talking about how they wish they could have bought in to miners or physical when spot price was below $40 an ounce.

They have to halt production, there isn't enough silver being produced in the world to meet the demand for coinage, and bullion.

OP, I've been pondering mining stocks lately, what could you recommend?

I picked up shares in a jr. mining and milling co. in Colorado last Friday. It's already up 20%.
Have my eyes on another one that just firmed up some agreements with the Bolivian government.

For the poster above, here is a thread at Kitco, a good place to start.

This thread was mentioned in a Turd Ferguson article not long ago as the best community investing thread on the net.

You are welcome. I'm no expert, so the best I can tell you is do your own due diligence.

BobLS, that's a nice list you have at your blog.

Thanks. All those miners were strangers to me until I found TF's blog a couple months ago. I also was the first person to share Bag of Golds penny stock thread on TF's blog, definitely a wealth of info in that thread even if you don't invest in any of the stock picks she makes.

For the person who asked about which miners are good picks, there are a number of factors that you have to take into account. I would suggest reading the Kitco thread that was shared or start following Turd Ferguson's blog.
