Thank you very much for posting this Thread, and no, I won't be anyone to bash it. Your words are very true.

There really IS A LOT going on in the World, and it could be on the brink of total disaster. So--where do we all go from here?

You're right--War in the Middle East could erupt any moment. Just today, some of the oil pipelines were blown up in Libya...not good.

Then, we've got the Bee situation; the GMO Foods and the attack on Organic Food Standards; dangerous vaccines laced with mercury and other dangerous chemicals; air pollution that's only getting worse; our fresh water supply is in danger of disappearing; etc, etc, etc., and again, I ask, 'Where do we go from here?' As a People? As a Nation? As a Planet?

The Earth and all of Her People are dying, and if nothing changes, everything will be destroyed.

Really--WHAT CAN ONE PERSON DO??

And I say--EVERYTHING!!!

Ever watch that movie that came out a few years ago, called 'Pay it Forward,' starring Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey? It's a really good movie, and I especially like the part where that young boy in his classroom, takes on the challenge from his teacher, for 'extra credit,' to do something to help change the world. He did! This one young boy decided to take the assignment seriously, and he actually went out there, and did something that touched a whole Nation! How did he do it?! One person at a time! But in such a way, as to touch another's heart, in the process. It's about LOVE and about doing something to make a good, solid, lasting-impression upon another, and to inspire them to do good unto others around them, and in this case, to 'pay it forward.'

Yes, I DO FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND CHANGE THE WORLD!

I BELIEVE THAT ONE HEART OF LOVE, THAT TOUCHES ANOTHER, EVEN ANOTHER IN A KEY PLACE AND POSITION, CAN INSPIRE THAT OTHER TO ALSO DO GREAT THINGS FOR THE WORLD.

IT'S ABOUT LOVE AND ABOUT A HIGHER CALLING, A GIVING, A SACRIFICE, A RISING UP TO BECOME SOMEONE AND SOMETHING MORE THAN YOU ARE, TO EMBRACE A DREAM AND MAKE IT A LIVING REALITY, TO HAVE A VISION, TO SEE BEYOND YOURSELF TO A BRIGHTER AND NEW TOMORROW.

Yet, it just takes 'one person.' The power of 'one person' should NEVER be underestimated in this World. Even, just a glance, a smile, a 'hello, how are you today,' doing something nice for another unexpectedly, or even bestowing a gift to say, 'I care, I love.'

What will it take to change the World??

Each and every one of us waking up inside to a much greater reality, and making this World what we would truly like it to be.

Can it be done? I think so! So let's wake up, and turn to the person next to us, in front of us, to the person we connect to everyday, and simply say, 'I love you, and on this day, do I choose to pass my love onto you, to touch you deeply and tenderly, and by that love, may it inspire you to do good in the World, as well.'

Give a hug, a kiss, give love, make love, do SOMETHING to love one another and MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!

I hope my words made sense, and in some small, little, and unseen way, maybe they might have touched a heart out there to do good in the World, and to be a better person.

OP, I really liked your Post--I like your style and what you had to say, and yes, I do love you too! Keep spreading your love, because it is good and healing, refreshing and uplifting. Keep posting more...I'll keep a look out for you! ;-)

Very true. We ARE free! And indeed, we shouldn't fear. Let LOVE propel a heart forward, and everything will fall into place, as if it was always meant-to-be.

Not even death itself can touch what eternally lies within us.

You know, since a young girl, I've always like the Poetry of Kahlil Gibran--a Lebanese Poet from some years ago. His Poetry truly reflect my heart of love, tenderness, passion, and life. Here's a Poem he wrote about Death:

ON DEATH

Kahlil Gibran

"You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.

This Poem is especially beautiful and special to me, as I read it at my Father's Funeral, back in 1998.

So, you like beaches, too? Aren't they wonderful? They have always been very special and powerful to me, throughout my life. Though I live landlocked at-the-moment, I used to serve in the U.S. Navy, and everywhere I was stationed, was by water. Gosh, I could tell you so many stories of the ocean, the wide open seas that I would see every night. I was never on a Ship, but was always on the shore, the beach, gazing out upon an endless sea...

Where do I begin? Pensacola Beach, Cuba, the Azores, Okinawa, and even on Oahu (as a Civilian). I've been around the World, and have walked the Beaches of so many Lands.

But what I really love most is the Beach under moonlight, with her gentle light glistening upon the open seas, like diamonds--glittering and dancing, hearing the sounds of the waves as they come gently upon the shores, even to my very feet, carressing me, touching me, beckoning me to come into the open waters and feel them hold me all around, to become as the water itself, flowing, moving, in gentle rhythmic tides, flowing through my very soul, only to find my truer self fully-revealed.

Yes, I too, like the waters, just as you. Soon, I hope you can find a beach, your very own beach, where you can go to and be whomever you need-to-be, to relax, unwind, take your shoes off, and feel the soft sands upon your feet, where you can step into the waters and feel it carress you, to go out to the greater waters and feel them embrace you all around, to hold you and lay soft kisses to you as they flow all around you...

Aaaahhhhh...

To me, the beach, the shores, are Heaven on Earth, where we can stand upon one shore and look out over the vast expanse of waters and see, yet a greater World, a greater Place that is yet, our truer Home...
