Maybe it would have to do, with the Alps, there is granit and strong rocks holding together. And as I wrote already on a thread. Most of the Swiss do pray, they don't all go to the church to do this, but I think it has to do with our huge Alps, some mountains are up to 4000 m they kind of show us how small we are, some of them have huge energys on some also like godlike energy (specially the ones called Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, they are so beautifull, maybe you can see pictures of those). They make us more feel the presens of God in the country. Our flag has a cross in it, and also our national hymne is a lot with God.

I'm heading down to my shack on Bruny Island Tasmania for the weekend. It's on the waterfront and it faces south. I'll keep an eye open for the water receding rapidly, which is a sign of an impending tsunami. If it does then all I can do is wax up my surfboard and paddle out for the ride of my life. Might as well go down screaming "Cowabunga" than "Oh shit".
No God botherer has got it right yet, so I don't expect much for this one. The Australasian plate goes all the way to New Zealand in the south, so if there is a quake big enough to send a tsunami aimed at Tasmania from the south, then its bye bye New Zealand.

No they don't let us have TV or radio, but I'll get a couple of the local blacks to send some messages out with smoke and message sticks stuck in kangaroo pouches. That should do it. I'll tell my cousin down the road and since we are all related here in Tasmania the word should get out.
Most of us live within cooee of the water so a big god given wave will really bugger up the weekend. And wouldn't you bloody well know it, its a long weekend here and the place is a about to be fucked over. Bloody typical. At least all the water will keep the beer cool.

If you've never been here. We have alot of mountainous terrain which will buffer Tsunamis. When we get a Tsunami it might just bounce off us and hit you guys, which is predominantly flat, unless your high above sea level. If I am correct and you get hit by one enjoy the surfing ride of your life.

Oh Boy!! We just had the worst heat-wave here in Perth - I came to an understanding that drought ridden Perth is being reclaimed by the desert.. as West Australia is practically all desert anyway... Im also on record as saying that the awful open cut mining etc. to our North will be just obliterated by Mother Nature one way or the other. So flooding is probably how this whole earth will be cleansed...

I dont know but West Australia has had some big flooding around Carnarvon and inland - lately - Due to cyclones ..

I certainly dont think we will be immune to flooding but plate shift - that is a bit of a stretch - IMHO

I see where London is rehearsing for ways to respond when and if it is flooded. The Queensland floods (and it is still happening there)... have alerted the world- lots of those flood plains are still inundated with water - it hasnt receded. or drained away...
