Spiral in water off coast of japan on ctv news

Good lord. I just woke up to grab a mid-sleep soda and thought I'd see if anything interesting was happening on GLP. Geez. I'm still half asleep

Obviously a whirlpool created by the dykes on both sides of the bay...just natural law of physics...still kewl as it gets...

A spiral in water obviously means that it's a whirlpool right? Does anyone here know what a whirl pool is?

I've been watching my local news and they keep showing footage of a giant spiral in the water off the coast of japan, does anyone know what this is and why it's happening?
It appears to be near what looks like a very long road/bridge over the water,maybe access to island?They aren't showing this on any of the u.s. channels that I get. Only canadian t.v.
You might be able to check out ctv news online and see if they have a clip of the footage I've seen.

think of the swirls you see around the piers and supports of bridges on a fast flowing(deep) river and magnify by about 10 orders of magnitude.
