I said I grew up in a country which is well known for extreme poverty. I watched cousins and friends of my parents slip into near poverty when the Brazilian economy became wretched. You have no idea how much time I have donated to homeless shelters or working for Habitat for Humanity. How much time have you donated? You don't read so well either...perhaps your emotion is blocking what you read

Regarding wars, you don't know how much time I have put into fighting not just Iraq, but other wars as well, nor how active I have been politically. You have no idea of the organizations I have donated time and money to in attempts to change things. But I do not have to sit here and justify myself to you, because you don't even know me...just a thread I started because I follow the currency markets closely, a habit I picked up from the south american side of my family.

You assume I'm in a comfortable bubble...why? You don't kno my life or what I am going through right now, losses I've endured. Just because I'm' not whining or weeping about them, doesn't mean they aren't there or motivating me to follow these developments closely. Again, you assume this from a stereotype you have deep in your spirit, so deep you just assume it's the truth...these stereotypes are preventing you from seeing clearly.

Again, I believe you must be very young. You jump to conclusions way too quickly and make far too many assumptions...you sound like you're screaming at someone you have an image of in your head, that ugly american you've been loathing for years, perhaps....someone you'd like to shake.

I am not that person, so I do not wish to fight with you. I would wish that this world became a better place, with more abundance for all of her children, but I'm afraid that we are about to go through some very painful times. How do you have a "reset" of the economy without a crash? That is what is coming, and many more people will be broke, homeless and hungry.

Regarding the dollar collapsing...unfortunately that was being planned anyway. I have a few friends who work for the Brazilian foreign service, and they've been saying that the US was working closely to devalue the USD by 40-60%. The USD is being replaced by the SDR...those are already in use. That is why the USD hasn't moved up at all with all the wars and disasters...it is no longer a safe haven, and the leaders who gather at Davos and other meetings like the G7 are well aware that the phase out will be this year

However, this situation with Japan is accelerating the process. The dumping of the USD was planned and they were doing their best, through currency swaps and other mechanics, to make it orderly. This is mother nature putting in her .02c, and the result could be a totally disorderly run on the USD and possible chaos in the bond markets.

Most people don't care at all about these things, because they sound so distant to their lives...but the impact of these financial earthquakes could be just as devastating as a physical disaster. Just ask the poor farmers who were wiped out in 1930, and yet never owned a share of stock or followed the Stock Market.

What we don't know can hurt is. Brace for impact.

Nice story and all, but no proof nor links are present. So this is yet another story on the internet of so many other conpiracies and ways things are changed are done secretly.

How on earth am I defending the current system. I am merely aware of it and pointing it out...you seem determined to fight with someone...please find someone else to do it with. If you want a revolution, there are many angry people here on GLP who would be glad to get into it with you.

Back to the topic, regarding the dollar...haven't you seen what has been happening with the USD already in the past month, and since August? It seems clear to anyone who has been tracking it that the USD has broken all trend lines and resistance. I actually had some doubt about my friend's forecast when I heard it, but now I'm convinced.

So what if it's based on lies? It will still hurt like hell when it collapses...and I'm not important enough to change anything. I'm just trying to dodge bullets and survive, just like most people everywhere.

When this collapse comes, it will create a great sucking sound as the buying power of people around the world gets destroyed. That is what the riots and uprisings are about. Bond crises bring surging interest rates, more pain.

If you want to look at it abstractly and hold an auto da fé as the world collapses, please enjoy. I'm afraid I will be running from the fire, trying to survive.

The only reason I'm still standing is that I have done this kind of research since I can remember, and I moved out of the way of trouble in 2002, and again in 2006. Knowledge is power, and I have no illusion I can fight the forces of this world...only try to stay a step ahead of them. If you think that is the equivalent of defending the system, then you are naive and have much real living to do.
