The Middle East is as volatile and violent as its been in decades; our most important Asian ally has overnight become a radioactive Third World basket case; our neighbor to the south (an actual Third World basket case) isn’t just sending us its surplus population, now we’re getting its drug violence too; our congress is reduced to funding the federal government a fortnight at a time; and in Wisconsin, Obama’s base has decide this democracy stuff’s not for them.
