Florida EAST COAST ...Tsunami Drill!!.....I'm not Kidding!

I have a friend who lives there and she was telling me today that it's a first for her in the 8 years she has lived there!

oh yeah and she was also talking about the strange sounds that have been heard in the coastal area as well!

Drill this:

The scary part is, that they need a sign to tell people to get off the beach if a tsunami is coming.

These were posted a day or 2 ago.

They are having 2 National tsunami drills today:

Pacific and Caribbean and one tomorrow for the Atlantic.

So. What's wrong with that? I think it's smart.

Definately something up with these drills being so quickly organized.

not the East Coast.. great now I'm really scared :S

It's pretty rare for a tsunami to come through the Atlantic, but I think we're living in an extraordinary time right now.

No OP. I am just saying it's a good idea. Most people are going to assume something 'is up' when they see this thread, and assume there is some secret knowing that a tsunami is coming soon. But I am seeing it for what it is...a smart move being prepared.

yea almost like this just happened somewhere and killed alotta people and now this has put the issue on the forefront of coastal residents minds.......just wierd AND strange

i live in brevard county and laughed like crazy. we are ready now cause we have signs. what a joke. they say it is annual, well it must be the first annual tsunami drill cause we have NEVER had one here before. I have lived here for 31 years, have friends in the fire department, city government etc. we have never done this drill before.

Palm Beach county here - in Florida since 1986 - never heard of or saw anything regarding Tsunami preparedness in all these years. Stupid anyways down here - it's all sea level or barely elevated - nowhere to run for higher ground...

I have a great idea for a Tsunami survival invention.

Imagine a 1/4 mile high platform buried in the ground. At a push of a button the platform raises up 1/4 mile high while you are sitting on it. You are now safe from the Tsunami.

What do ya think? Do I have any investors want to invest in this invention?

What about having a lot of people show up at the drill and intentional create havoc? The thing is are you really going to be prepared for a wall of water coming at you at 300 miles per hour? If you are near the beach you will be fucked. Seriously a fire drill is one thing,but a wall of water coming from the abyss!!! We cannot prepare for it. We can only prepare to live through it or die.

I woke up the morning of March 18th, Friday morning, with the
words 'Florida Coast' in my ears, and a picture of the east
coast ... well ok this is starting to make sense now ...

At the time there was nothing I could connect it with, but
after seeing threads dealing with the 'wooshing' sounds, like
water rushing, well I think they are methane releases, highly
pressurized, and unprecedented, as the region is becoming
more unstable ... helped along by the gulf spill and
considering the mid-atlantic seismic activity recently ...

...well I'd say spread the word to anyone w/ family on the
coast, as they should be on high ALERT w/ bug-out preps and a
C, D, and E EVAC plan depending on where they might be at any
given time. Take the time to PLAN NOW, coast-dwellers, God Bless.

Hey friends, I have lived in Florida 4 years this year and we have never had Tsunami drills before. Today at the beach there was a drill, I am giving the link. Now, a few days ago I shared a few links concerning the odd noises going on in Florida and actually some noises were quite loud. These noises sounded like underground boring machines, But hubby and I said it was Haarp as before the noise stopped there was a flash of light then no noise. The reason why I am sharing this is I find it odd that all of a sudden we have a Tsunami drill after all these weird things going on. Got any ideas???
