I bet you all have seen posts like this: bla bla bla Fukushima is not dangerous The radiation is comparable to a sunburn bla bla bla . [/quote: Shill?] Here´s another (this time real) example: Thread: BREAKING NEWS: Radiation above 1,000 millisieverts found OUTSIDE No. 2 reactor: TEPCO Think of it like the sun. If you glance at the sun your probably going to be ok, if you stare at the sun for 1 minute, you may go blind. That does not mean if you stand out in the sun for 5 minutes your going to die.
If you go naked on the beach for 12 hours you clearly would have some health effects, very few positive.
Now if you take measure to limit your exposure you wont have any problems. Out in the sun for an hour or two them come in or put on clothes, no problem. You get the point.
Now this radiation is basically the same, if you take precautions you can easily protect yourself, by using distance or density between you and the source of radiation.
Now, as far as the fallout, you need to take measures for that as well, learn what you should have been taking since right after this started, how to decontaminate yourself, internal and external, and for the love of God stop letting the media, or government, dictate how you respond to a disaster and read.
