try to relax. don't over-react. keep eyes open, but stay rational and realistic. if we get to a point where store-bought milk is a problem, find a small local dairy farm and buy it there. children can get their nutritional needs met in many ways.

Thanks :) theres a dairy near me I think.. And I know a farmer that sells eggs, milk and oranges on the weekends~ But i think thats raw milk isnt it? I dont know if thats drinkable..

i have learned to live off little, and buy most of my veggies and diary from small local farmer. best tasting stuff ever. and very low cost. try to grow a few things myself, like herbs and peppers, some tomatoes, but i live in colorado and it is hard to grow things in pots here (i live in a townhome apt)

buying from local farms helps to support them. its better for everyone involved. besides, the kids get a thrill going there to see the farm animals. there is one here where they have goats, and sheep, and cows to pet and visit with.

a dairy farm should have their own processing equipment. it should be completely safe. if you live in north east area of the country, amish farms are good choices also.

I-131 is a concern for small children. Consider this the I-131 is in the milk because the cows are eating grass/feed and it is being concentrated. Your children are breathing and playing in the radiation as I type. The current levels are not of immediate concern. If you are worrired give them childrens multi vitamins so their bodies have plenty of clean minerals to absorb. CS 137 & C0 60 are two you dont want your body absorbing.

Not to get off topic but, yeah, I work in an all female office (except me) and guys just have no idea how sexual females are. They are just a sexual as men, if not more. Yeah, the hysteria on this site is nearly overwhelming.

I have been giving them extra vitamins since the news.. just in case.. they get a flintstones immunity one in the morning and a complete one in the afternoon. The dr said as long as both dont contain iron then its ok, one does but the other doesnt. So its ok to give both. I have never been to local farmers market but have been thinking of going~ The kids LOVE animals~ I worked at green meadows farm here in kissimmee during october(they only hire for that month) and they went 3 times and were begging to go back each time lol.. I could take them free when I was working that month. Otherwise its $20 a person and i cant afford it.. Not honestly worth that much either.. the walk in tours they do for regular people are rushed and not worth the money. Group tours get more time in the pen and its better honestly.

So I think they would love to see the animals there! Ill have to look to see when they will do it next~

You are better off staying away from milk if you are concerned. Apparently the magnesium in milk is the main attractant to the ions.

Consider buying extra calcium vitamins and giving the kids a GOOD multivitamin which includes magnesium and minimal iron (which produces more red blood cells that attack white blood cells, which are in your body to fight infection). As well, you'll want to give them an additional vitamin 'c' to keep their immune system at par and help the body keep white blood cell strength up.

however, if you don't want to fully give up on milk products, consider buying blocks of cheese that is aged or cheese of the 'fort' variety. Give the kids a few slices a day as a snack and they will be at least getting that serving each day as well. Keep in mind that the processed shit doesn't help if the kids aren't getting another serving daily.
