if you had read clearly, we are the same person. and, that sounds NOT like general questions because one cannot give an estimated answer. And yes, it would still be a stupid question. where in the world is the health benefits/effects of soy and milk products in various forms a general question one would post on GLP?

What's rubbish? The problem with the heavy metal isotopes is they can substitute for other minerals in the body. I hate to tell you this but we are all going to be ingesting a higher level radiation. The plants absorb these materials. Total dose = dose rate x time of exsposure. Current levels are not of immediate concern but they are adding to the exsposure we all were getting 3 weeks ago. If you are questioning my claim of heavy metal substitution google Kelation.

I wouldn't be doing the flintstones vitamins, they contain aspartane.

Also as for raw milk, why do you think it wouldn't be drinkable? The bacteria thing?

Do you have a reason to believe that radioactive iodine is the source of the radioactivity in the milk -- rather than some other radioactive particle with longer half life?

I believe the jet stream is irrelevant because, absent a nuclear explosion (which we have not had there), the stuff doesn't get lifted that high. It's in the lower atmosphere, below the jet stream, and will circulate around the northern hemisphere generally, limited by two things:
(1) The half life of the radioactive substance, and
(2) The tendency of particles to fall out of the air onto the water or ground.

So time is on your side. Over time the atmosphere cleans itself via both the effects above. The really long half-life stuff, like plutonium, is very heavy and falls out quickly. Almost all of it will stay near Japan.

And stuff that falls on land stays there, or goes into plants and animals and the food supply that way. You can control that by watching where your food comes from.

But anything that falls in the ocean will gradually circulate around the world. Not sure what the eventual level will be from this accident, probably low because the oceans are vast. But I don't know. And I guess most of the heavy particles like plutonium would fall to the sea floor, but not sure about that either. To a substantial extent the seawater will improve over time, as the fast-decaying stuff decays.

Maybe this is the end of eating flounder and other things that live on the sea floor.

I am planning to avoid milk for my family for a while. Cheese is stored milk, so aged cheese should be good for a while. And it can be transported from less affected places like the southern hemisphere.

Raw milk should be just as good as pasteurized from this perspective. Pasteurization doesn't reduce radioactivity.

Where are you located? If you're on the west coast, I would want non-local food.

OP, seriously do some major homework on milk please, especially pastuerized milk. "Milk, it does a body good" is more elitist bullshit to keep you unhealthy, but DO NOT take my word for it, do the research.

One word: hormones.

The milk I drink, I insist is free of the stuff, cause it is no good and when you research it you'll understand why.

I dont look at AC numbers, so I didnt notice. I mean its a regular question. I have seen PLENTY of threads about water and milk and the like on here.. so why would me asking MY questions be any different? Just cuse I mentioned I have kids?? I have plenty of shit on GLP, actually any and everything. Im not asking medical questions AT ALL. I asked if powdered or liquid can milk is as good, has the same nutrients, and thats a "out there" question? its not medical at all. I guess if Im asking about nutrients it would I guess qualify as health but I have seen REAL health questions like losing weight and such on here and my question is pretty tame.

Yeah.. I always heard that raw milk is bad.. even at the farm I was at we had to make sure the kids didnt lick any milk off their hands after milking the cow. They told us raw milk isnt healthy

Also OP, go talk to nurses at any oncoloy ward, some anthropologists or biochemists. Learn about leaky gut syndrome and what happens biologically and chemically to any substance your body doesn't recognize as compatible to your DNA. Of course, fair warning, you will begin a journey down a rabbit hole.

The milk will be fine if you add a dash of iodiized salt to it. Actually improves the flavor too.

I don't think so, I drink regular whole milk, but it doesn't have RBST. That's the thing at the very least that you wanna avoid.

Traces will be too small to worry about. Your government should regulate the fisheries to check for radiation.
