Re: Question!! No assholes please~
Don't let the anti-milk freaks get to you. Actually the worst thing about milk is that is has carbs. Carb overload is what is killing more people in the USA than anything. Carbs do all kinds of horrible things to your body. The main staple in a person's diet should be Fish, Chicken, Turkey, and lean read meat (in that order). The 2nd staple in our diets should be dark green vegetables which act as mulch to help you digest the protein. And water. Everything else on the planet is basically shit. Some shit is worse than other shit but it's all carb loaded shit. As far as milk is concered, milk actully has nearly a 50/50 carb to protien ratio which is damn better than 99% of the other shit out there.

Of oourse, eating a diet high in fish, chicken, turkey and lean read meat (plus dark green vegetables) is a hassle and expensive. But you get what you pay for. Most of the 'I hate milk' freaks out there know nothing about nutrition and nearly off of them look like total crap.

Dont know what the first question is but if your talking about regular milk: yes I drink milk.. I havent looked up nothing about whats done to it.. guess I will now though

One word: hormones.

The milk I drink, I insist is free of the stuff, cause it is no good and when you research it you'll understand why.
 Quoting: ajk

What milk do you drink? I have seen organic milk.. is that what your talking about?
 Quoting: A Mommy

I don't think so, I drink regular whole milk, but it doesn't have RBST. That's the thing at the very least that you wanna avoid.
 Quoting: ajk

Im going to look for that tomorrow.. thanks!

Re: Question!! No assholes please~
Get a geiger counter and check the water and milk yourself before you use it. A true geiger counter, not a "radiation monitor." The scale on those is set too high to be of use for lower-level contamination.

Everything will not be contaminated at the same time.

Most bottled water is just local tap water - it hasn't been on the shelf very long, so it won't be uncontaminated very much longer.

Spring water and water from a well will be ok a little longer, but eventually it will be contaminated [to a lesser extent] as well... In fact it may be contaminated later and longer than regular tap water, depending on depth and rainfall at the source, etc.

Time is the best antidote. The longer the time from contamination with radioactive elements, the safer it will be, so have a couple of week's stock on hand, that you already know is safe - otherwise you'll have little choice but to drink questionable water.

Fallout will persist for a couple of weeks after they seal those POS leaking reactors. It will persist in the environment for a few months - but some places will not be contaminated as much. Once folk figure that out they will try to get their food/water/milk, etc from there - prices will spike, and nasty, unscrupulous folk will sell contaminated food to the unsuspecting.

Don't count on your government to tell you what is going on.

THAT man is a quack. 100 percent. Sure no one has DIED from it yet, but to say those reactors were in shutdown mode? Give me a break, then why are the rods in meltdown, and pictures of the reactor shown with the top blown off? That man is totally ignorant. I'm sorry, but I think this guy has NO clue what's real, and what about the workers that HAVE died from trying to prevent the meltdown? Tell him to contact the families of those 5 and tell them it was a lie... Don't believe ANYTHING that web site guy is telling you. He probably works for the government.

Re: Question!! No assholes please~
Trust your heart girl, I'm worried about my grandkids and family on the west coast. I have been warning them that this kind of thing would happen, lo and behold, it is.
ANY amount of radiation is not good for you. It may only cause some small growth that remains harmless, but it's there.
It tears at cells, cuts DNA strands, and what can be good about that?
I look at it this way, at one time they didn't know how bad it was, Ms Curie comes to mind in her studies of radiation that killed her. She was a giant in scientist, but she didn't know, but we do from her work.
Los Alamos knows, it's the reason we stopped above ground testing. Utah down winders comes to mind, search it and use that info to guide you.

Cheers!!!

Re: Question!! No assholes please~
Why do you give yor kids milk in the first place? Milk is not good for human beings. Don't buy into the USDA's garbage about calcium. There is virtually no calcium uptake by the human body from milk. Do NOT use soy milk either. That is another scam. 90% of all soy is GMO and if you really research it you understand that Monsanto and government assurances not withstanding, there are huge questions about GMO safety. By the way, if you post on GLP don't be surprised if you get a few assholes. That's kind of like walking down the interstate and not expecting to get hit by a truck or car.

If milk is being contaminated then I am not giving milk to my kids anymore either. No fish since oil spill either, nothing that comes from any water. If I start getting the powdered milk or liquid milk how long do you guys think we have before bottled water isnt good anymore? And is powdered or that little can of liquid milk(dont remember the name) better? Have the same nutritional values? And what about the others like silk and lactaid? Is soy ok or is that still milk? I really dont know :( so please no assholes, just real answers.. thanks in advance~

Re: Question!! No assholes please~
Buy water that says it is purified through reverse osmosis. If you can afford one get a reverse osmosis filter for you home. It's one of the only ways to filter this stuff. As for milk I am a mom also I am in the same boat. Milk on the shelves from the Midwest that's already shelved is ok. But not anything recently reshelved. Buy powdered milk from places out side of the jet stream currents. As for the long term may god be with you and your children. My blessings and best for your family, stay strong and diligent.

Do you believe everything you read ? Water will not be safe to drink in next few months. So prepare to die.

Do not worry about the food or milk now.The levels that are being picked up are low. Most of the radiation is going into the vast pacific. I would not buy any food from Japan and also be wary of Pacific seafood. IE. Alaskan Crabs
