I much prefer the analysis of Arnie Gundersen www,fariewinds.com to that of Michio Kaku, but....

In all fairness to Prof Kaku, he has been drawn into this public debate over Fukushima, simply because he is a scientist, an academic, a public figure and a native Japanese speaker. Cut him some slack here, folks! Here is the simple truth:

1. Michio Kaku is a theoretical physicist, like Leo Szillard or Albert Einstein, not a nuclear engineer.

2. He has been honest and forthcoming from the get-go; he warned that the Fukushima disaster was potentially serious and he said at the very beginning that it could entail consequences similar to a Chernobyl. He was dead-on correct. Only last week, the Japanese NISA finally upgraded the situation from a "5" to the highest rating on the scale of nuclear catastrophes, a "7", i.e. equal to Chernobyl.

3. As for the accusation of his being a "shill" for the "NWO", that is milding amusing to me. Iwould bet that if you asked him, he probably wouldn't even know what "NWO" stands for in English and if you told him that it meant "New World Order", he would not grasp the underlying sinister meaning of that phrase. He simply wants Japan to modernize and start adopting a more forthcoming, international or global, perspective on its nuclear problem. That is all. He wants Japan to be more open to foreign offers of assistance - - the French supplying advisors and boric acid for the seawater spraying, the Germans for sending the huge PUTZMEISTER concrete sparyer to assist with the water spraying efforts to cool these 3 Fukushima reactors and the #4 adjacent spent fuel rod pool now going critical and the Americans who already have a huge team of nuclear experts (safely housed in expensive Tokyo hotels) and providing robots to probe the reactor buildings (kind of useless but interesting as radiation readings of up to 57 milli (not micro) sieverts in #3 are way scarey!) and offering one drone helicopter from Misawa Base to move spent fuel rods to a 'safe site' (excuse me, I am not laughing; I am just coughing a bit...) and probably pushing the government to... (hey, I'll quit while I'm ahead here....).

Michio, you are a good man. You always try to be honest and to tell the truth as you know it, but... Maybe it's time for you to take a little vacation and just let the catastrophe unfold week by week. There is nothing more now that you can do. Shikatta ga nai, desu ne? God bless you.
