Quoting: AmazingGRACEgood question......I don't know....he sure seemed repentant, but it does say this: The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born. Matt. 26:24 He was repentant, he took the money back, he was devastated at what he had done. So much so that he couldn't even live with himself, he hung himself, but suicide is a serious sin. So, I don't know. He may look repentent to a person who has a loving heart! Judas could have been filled with rage that Jesus did not manifest His kingship like he wanted him to. He could have been so angry at God that he destroyed himself. Yea, I guess we will never know. Or maybe we will know when we meet Jesus in person and ask, if we even care to remember these things once we get there......I doubt it....LOL! I'm sure i'll be much more curious about the future than the past. i wonder what God will do next. He is the author of Life..... and what will our assignments be!!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1342449 United States 04/14/2011 09:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Question for my christian friends here. Quoting: Lisa*LisaWas forgiveness and salvation available to Judas after he betrayed Jesus? I've wondered about this many times.........never really figured it out tho and I'm curious what others think. good question......I don't know....he sure seemed repentant, but it does say this: The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born. Matt. 26:24 I believe you both are correct. Salvation was certainly available - is avaliable - for all. But Judas spent a lot of time with Jesus and was never converted before the crucifixion and based on Matt 26:24 I'd say he never accepted salvation afterwards either. Matthew 26:24 "The Son of Man will go as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for him if he had never been born.” Yea, that's pretty black and white. Jesus Himself spent at least 3 years with him. Judas saw the amazing miracles, heard Christ's words, saw His love and still would not repent. How sad.... and we think some of the folks at glp are evil! |

I have a question for you and anyone else that would like to advise me. I'm one of those that loves to give to others and charities sometimes. Anyway, I saw a post from someone online on another forum that needs help, and I'd like to send him a little money, but I already know that my husband would say no. Would it be stealing from my husband if I did it without telling him? This is a situation that I don't know how to handle, my husband is an unbeliever. I feel motivated to give, but my husband says no. What would you do in a situation like this? It happens alot and I don't know what to do. |
