First hand knowledge. RN worked in a family birth unit doing L&D and mother-baby.

The hospital I worked for threw foreskin in the red bag for hazardous waste disposal along with the other medical waste.

After delivery, placentas and cords are put in big plastic tubs, labeled and held in refrigerators in the basement for pick up twice a month.

We draw a cord blood sample from the umbilical cord attached to the placenta after delivery and send it to the lab for blood type and such. If the family wants a cord blood sample sent off for stem cell storage they have to arrange for that in advance and it is taken by courier within hours.

The placenta is only sent to pathology for analysis if a doctor orders it due to any abnormalities/infection, otherwise it goes to the basement refrigerator as I said above.

You realize there is still plenty of blood in the cord/placenta left when it goes to storage. You know some company is picking those placentas up. I have no knowledge who gets them.

actually they are "disposed" and through the back door shipped to cloning labs, under holographic cloning reproduction all they need are small skin samples to grow a full clone not necessarily the same as the person, these clones are among us and probably used in the sex industry as well.
