I've noticed that some of the birds seem to be making noise really late at night. I've heard song birds well after sun down and I don't ever remember hearing them that late in the evening. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1313868Me neither. Live in the country so I would notice this shit if it happened every night. Clouds are low as hell too "And a spaceman fucked an ape" |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1129515 United States 04/08/2011 01:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Went outside for a smoke. Dogs barking and wimpering, ducks, birds chirping? and roosters crowing. Whats up?!?!? Anyone else notice crazy shit happening? Quoting: The BrianI've posted a few threads about weirdness in GA. I'm in Savannah and there is always some weird shit going down here, which I blame on the military base. I don't know what's up but I have a feeling that GA isn't alone in this strange upsetting of animals. Some notable instances: Flowers blooming very, very early, bumble bees swarming in MASSIVE mobile hives, animals acting fickle (scared one minute, playful the next), almost every one having nightmares (including animals and young children), strange perfume smells filling the air at night, flies becoming docile and allowing me to touch them... There are many more occurrences but I think you get the idea. |

I live on the Coast and my house keeps shaking every so often. Thanks. I was posting on the St Augustine thread. |

Quoting: The Brianyeah we do. except i don't have any pets. we do know the sounds at night though, and in the day. you learn to read them. nature gives you plenty of warning before shit gets hairy, and it's invaluable being able to read her signs. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1313868Me neither. Live in the country so I would notice this shit if it happened every night. Clouds are low as hell too I just realized there is something else weird that I've noticed. There is a stray cat that has been in my neighborhood for several years now. He's a really nice cat and will let you pet him and will rub on your legs, etc. I usually take a little food and water out for him and the past few days he has been totally freaked out about something. He's been very jumpy and if I go to pet him now most of the time he will take off and run about 15 to 20ft away from me. I just chalked it up to him maybe getting into a fight with another cat or animal and that made him jumpy but maybe something else is freaking him out. This is the first time I've ever seen him act like this... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1155273 United States 04/08/2011 01:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Maybe they are hearing frequencies we can't Quoting: KBambiI used to hear a strange frequency over my radio a few years back. I would be in bed at night with the radio on and then underneath the broadcast would be like ulf so low I felt it before my ears picked it up. Then it would wind up so high like tuning up until I couldn't hear it again. Then after about a minute or so it would wind back down until I could hear it very high pitched and scaling lower until it was just the low hum and vibration. It used to happen all the time back around 2004-2005. I lived very near a cell phone tower then. Could that have been it? Has anyone ever heard what I am describing? |

Teri37209 User ID: 1328412 United States 04/08/2011 01:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some birds chirp all night this time of year. It has something to do with them sitting on eggs. My mom explained it last year. She knew exactly which birds do it, but I don't remember at this point what kind she said. Makes it very difficult to sleep with the windows open, though, and this is about the only time of year the weather is nice enough to do so. It's actually pretty quiet tonight here in TN, but I can't sleep for some reason. |
