There are others that find errors in Hawkin's model of the scales of consciousness. This is the second site I have come across just now with similar concerns and I will copy here. While I don't feel the new scale is of value to me, I find other explanations and facts to be of value .... and validates my remarks regarding the calibrations I am finding. The following article gives an overview of the David Hawkins scale of consciousness, which will highlight some of the errors with the Hawkins model
and our recent discoveries of a new, more workable consciousness scale. This research will show the rise in human consciousness
and where it will be going over the next twenty to thirty years, as well as, recommendations of how you can study and apply these methods to increase your consciousness to the maximum available on planet Earth today.
THE HAWKINS SCALE
Psychiatrist, consciousness researcher and mystic, Dr. David R. Hawkins (pictured below), developed a “map” of the levels of human consciousness (also called the "Scale of Consciousness") that uses a muscle-testing technique known as "Applied Kinesiology" (AK) to document the nonlinear, spiritual realm. The research was scientifically-validated and published in Dr. Hawkins’ doctorate dissertation titled "Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis and Calibrations of the Level of Human Consciousness." This paper elaborated on the discussion of the Scale of Consciousness and its significance, which was later outlined in his groundbreaking book, “Power vs. Force: The Anatomy of Consciousness: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior” (Veritas Publishing, 1995).
Dr. Hawkins' publications, based on the kinesiology work of John Diamond and others, established the foundation for quantifying consciousness and became embraced by contemporary authorities in transformation such as Dr. Wayne Dyer and Dr. Deepak Chopra. The Hawkins Scale posits that through kineseological testing, human consciousness can be quantified and measured on an arbitrary number scale — in this case from 1 to 1000
. And the scale is then applied against the basic model by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (from the early to mid-1900’s), which embraces the idea of a conceptual "Alpha" point whereby complexity and consciousness is unfolding toward a cosmic resolution which he calls the "Omega Point," as shown in Figure 1. (See Figure 1 “Chardin Graph”)
Hawkins and other researchers take the scale further by documenting observable characteristics at different levels of the scale such “Shame, Guilt, Apathy, Grief," etc at the lower levels of the scale and culminating with "Love, Joy, Peace and Enlightenment" at the uppermost end of the scale as can be seen in Figure 2. (See Figure 2 “Graph with Characteristics”).
Text Box: Figure 2 Graph w/Characteristics
Likewise, taking it a step further, these discoveries can be aligned with the human chakra system (energy centers of the body) as shown in the third graph (see Figure 3 Map of Consciousness). Each level of consciousness coincides with observable human behaviors and perceptions about life and God. Each level represents a corresponding attractor field of varying strength that exists beyond our three-dimensional reality. There’s a critical point within each level of consciousness from which its field gravitates (or entrains).
The numbers on the scale represent logarithmic calibrations (measurable vibratory frequencies on a scale which increases to the tenth power) of the levels of human consciousness and its corresponding level of reality. As freely admitted by Hawkins and where we believe an error lies, is that the numbers themselves are arbitrary and the significance lies in the relationship of one number (or level) to another (e.g., Dr. Hawkins’ scale is from 1 to 1000;
a similar scale could be devised from 1 to 10 where 2 is courage and 5 is love).
Text Box: Figure 3 Map of Consciousness
Because the scale of consciousness is logarithmic, each incremental point represents a giant leap in power. For each single point increase, it is a ten fold increase in consciousness. As such, one person calibrated at 600 counterbalances the negativity of ten million people below 200.
Using the kinesiologic response, two people can identify the level of consciousness of any person, place or thing — past and present. For example, two researchers can plot out Albert Einstein’s level of consciousness, and their results can be verified by two people on the other side of the planet. If the kinesiologic technique is done properly, both teams will plot Einstein at 499 on the Hawkins scale. The kinesiologic response transcends all personal opinions and beliefs, accessing truth beyond the physical realm.
As mentioned earlier, our research showed that the error with the Hawkins scale lies in arbitrarily assigning a value of 1,000 as the upper limit; thereby forcing everything to fit between the two points of one (1) and one thousand (1,000). Further, use of an arbitrary upper limit conflicts with Hawkins assertion that the scale of consciousness is “an infinitely growing scale” and really serves as an arbitrary “stake in the ground”. But, in doing so, it forces one to evaluate a given point on the scale relative to another point on the scale.
This is a major drawback in determining a workable frame of reference and, as a result, we began to find variances in our calibrations of different books by different authors. Such variances forced us to “check our premise” and identify the arbitrary — which is the self-admitted arbitrary of the use of 1,000 as an upper limit.
Lastly, Dr. Hawkins stated that a person’s level of consciousness remains steady throughout their lifetime — that emotions come and go, but their level of consciousness is governed by specific energy fields in the nonlinear domain which generally do not waver. His research shows that, over the course of a lifetime, the average person’s level of consciousness will change approximately five points (not a statistical derivation, but an average discovered through Dr. Hawkins’ kinesiologic research).
However, research also shows that it is possible for an individual (such as a spiritual aspirant) to have their level of consciousness jump (or drop) hundreds of points in a single lifetime. Although there may be truth to the premise that a person’s level of consciousness does not change much, we have discovered that our current time period and the next twenty years is unique and different than any time in history and there is ample opportunity for everyone to increase their consciousness by an order of magnitude.
Later with this section, we will tell you how you can increase your level of consciousness dozens of points (if not hundreds of points) in your current lifetime. But first, let’s discuss some of the errors in the Hawkins model and some of our discoveries which show that this period in time (1990’s thru 2015) is a very unique period in history where the human consciousness is increasing planet-wide and all of us have a unique opportunity to rise with the tide!
THE NEW HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS SCALE
Some research history is in order. As mentioned, we began finding discrepancies using the Hawkins model during the summer of 2008. Using the same kinesiology technique, we determined that a better, more workable system could be identified using the same human numbering system, but that the upper limit (as of September 13, 2008) was 149, not 1,000! We also discovered that the upper limit would shift to 175 within the next four years (by December 23, 2012).
Because we went back to the basics and re-discovered the Human Consciousness Scale from scratch, there is no arbitrary upper limit (we let the process defined it’s own upper limit); therefore, it corrects the scale to eliminate errors in the Hawkins model and introduces a new discovery of the average human consciousness (AHC) and introduces the new discovery of the upper (maximum) limit of human consciousness for the time period checked.
Keep in mind, we are talking about human consciousness with a focus on planet Earth in this reality level for this time in history — and, naturally, in the process of researching this, we discovered that we had to introduce a unique convention (such as calling it “Framework One”) to identify “this” reality level and a unique way of specifying what calendaring system to use for “this” time in history (such as “the Gregorian calendar” or “the current Calendar used in North America in Framework One”). Since the word “this” does not identify which of the 38 parallel reality levels is being tested or which calendaring system is being used (for example, the Chinese have adopted the Gregorian calendar but they still use the older Chinese Calendar).
By the way, there is a different consciousness scale for beings that have never been human and is still being research (and will be published in the near future)—so we deliberately do not rate any beings on the human consciousness scale if they are nonhuman entities.
GETTING ACCURATE RESULTS
The source for the answer (and all answers from applied kinesiology, if done correctly) is the same source as that which is writing the Akashic Records. But, in order to get accurate results, one must also account for eleven (11) possible variables which can create inaccuracies and one must take the necessary steps to reduce or eliminate the eleven variables. These variables, which will be published in a future research paper, include things like not having enough sleep, or not having enough food, making sure each person and their genetic entity (Hawaiians call this the Unihipili) is testable, always clearing after every test and before the next one, identifying the correct reality level you are checking for, identifying the right time with the right calendaring system, etc.
The following chart shows a timeline of the new and improved Human Consciousness scale showing the average human consciousness (AHC) at 43 back in 1998 (See Figure 4 Divine Human Consciousness Scale below). The maximum human consciousness at that time was 149 on the scale. As can be seen from the graph, the average human consciousness increased by seven points (to 50) over the previous ten years (from 1998 through Sep 2008).
RISING CONSCIOUSNESS ACHEIVES CRITICAL MASS
In September 2008, we discovered that a certain “critical mass” needed to be reached in order for the increasing consciousness to continue on its path. The magic number was 62 and we knew it would occur between January 11th and January 31, 2009. We were relieved to discover that this was achieved on January 20, 2009 (coinciding with Barack Obama’s inauguration as President of the United States) when the AHC achieved 63 on that day. By the way, Obama is working for the light, was at 84 on September 13, 2008, and was at 86 on the day of his inauguration (his running mate and future VP, Joe Biden, was 83 on September 13, 2008).
In other words, the AHC jumped 13 points in a four month period! That is an incredible increase in consciousness planet wide. Just like a freight train getting started where it begins by slowly rolling down the tracks and eventually building momentum and inertia along the way, the rising average human consciousness has done the same thing and achieved critical mass (overcoming any friction or obstacles) in January 2009! Planet Earth and the humans on it are well on their way to full consciousness on planet earth at this time.
Text Box: Figure 4 Divine Human Consciousness Scale
Our research shows that the upper limit increases to 175 for a brief period (from 2009 through 2013) and then exceeds 271 by the year 2035. The average human consciousness (AHC) will continue to climb and will hit 86 on December 22, 2012 (the traditional date for the end of the Mayan Calendar) and hit 96 (10 points higher) on January 1, 2013. That’s a ten point jump in as many days going into the year 2013! From there, the trend tapers off (a mild plateau) and the average human consciousness climbs another 6 points over the next ten years to achieve 102 by January 1, 2022.
INCREASING YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS
Of course, by now you are thinking, this is all nice and wonderful, but what does it have to do with me? Well, everything! If you are reading this (and incarnated in a body), this shift in consciousness is affecting you as well as everyone else. All of the above can be confirmed by anyone applying a proper and solid use of Applied Kinesiology (AK). The only duty you have is to make sure you pull anchor (dissolve or release negative energies)and simply rise with the tide!
So, with that in mind, we decided to find out what tools and techniques could be employed to improve or increase one’s consciousness the fastest. To put things in perspective, we plotted out some of the traditional spiritual works and more recently published enlightened material (See Figure 5 Consciousness Scale with Book Ratings below). With the books we had in our possession, we found the following: "The Life Application Bible" (New International Version) came in at 48 on the scale (not bad since the average human consciousness was at 43 until recently); the Koran at 55; a book on Buddha, Zen and Tao at 79, 79 and 97, respectively.
And three books by Eckhart Tolle plotted in at 99 ("Stillness Speaks"), 99 ("Power of Now") and 144 ("A New Earth"). We confirmed that if one were to read and apply the teachings in Eckhart Tolle’s "A New Earth" book it would raise their consciousness to that highest level (144 or higher!) The emphasis is on applying the material. A person only gets marginal results if reading or listening to the teachings and not applying the lessons.
Any book or publication can be plotted on the above scale. For that matter, although not shown in a chart or graph in this report, any book or publication can also be plotted on a “truthfulness” scale on the basis of zero (0%) to one hundred percent (100%). The Eckhart Tolle book “A New Earth” tested at nearest to 100% truthful on this scale.
Knowledge of the above has limited value unless one can use it to improve their life. Upon discovering the significance of the Eckhart Tolle material, we promoted it to a select group of folks on January 26, 2009 to prove our findings. One of the members immediately acquired the Eckhart Tolle audio book entitled “Practicing the Power of Now” and listened to the entire audio book applying what she learned. As a result, within a three week period of time, she increased her consciousness from 80 to 98! In other words, she had an 18 point jump in consciousness in three weeks! That is a phenomenal jump in consciousness! We believe the same can occur with anyone who studies the material and applies what they learn.
In summary, we believe the Hawkins scale has served to lay in a foundation for the idea of quantifying human consciousness. Our research has refined the scale making it more accurate and more reliable. Further, we have established the basis for identifying and monitoring the rising human consciousness over the current and near future time period; and, lastly, we have identified materials that you can study and apply on your own as a means to raising your consciousness to the maximum level possible today.
We hope this research and these discoveries have value in your life. Remember, it is not about the person known as Ekhart Tolle and it is not even about believing what he teaches. Instead, it is more about you and your experiences you have from learning and applying his teachings and how they can be used to improve your life.
To make you more aware, more alive, more present, more conscious. For, as our saying goes, “change your consciousness, change your life!” By taking advantage of this knowledge, you believe you can expect "Miracles and Inspiration!"
We leave you with the following words of wisdom from one of the great teachers who came before us:
“Rely not on the teacher, but on the teaching. Rely not on the words of the teaching, but on the spirit of the words. Rely not on theory, but on experience. Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything because it is spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything because it is written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” — from "The Kalama Sutra" by the Buddha
