Quoting: Anonymous Coward 904314meaning???????????? You are not evil OP. Babies get to that stage when they will only want one or two people to hold them at about 6 -8 months. Usually the mother and just one other trusted caregiver, like their regular babysitter. Some babies get it worse than others. It's normal OP. My friend was baby sitting a kid one time acted the same way to me when I went to hold it, LOL no biggie, I didn't feel like getting pissed, puked and crapped on anyway. My baby raising days are long over and I don't miss it one bit. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1338928the baby use to let me carry her, when she was a new born, but now shes about 6 months old, whenever she shes me , she stares at me like really really stare without blinking for eternity, like seeing a ghost, and honestly, she creeps me out.. sometimes she would stare at me and weeps, like shes about to cry, i don't know whats wrong with me... am i evil person and maybe she senses, i don't know whats her reason for acting really weird when im around,, she only does this to me, she would be comfortable with other people except me.. the stupid mother senses it to that baby was uncomfortable with me, and yesterday i was with them, and she saw the baby was starin' at me, like shes wondering if i did something to her, wtf? she was making her baby punch me at the face, and the baby just stares at me so cold, i dont know why, whenever she sees me she would always stare at me, like she would scan the people around and stop at me and stare like 10 mins without blinkin. its just sick, i think shes evil.. hahah Also, OP...ever stop to think the damn kid might be evil, and maybe the kid senses that you can sense his evil? Maybe the kid is not used to being around someone with your vibration, which may be higher than the mothers. I think animals are a better judge of character than humans, including babies, parents encourage their own biases and hangups. In any case, if friendly cats and dogs won't let you get near them, THEN I would worry that I may be evil. My cats tried to warn me about my neighbor, but I just had to find out for myself. |

Animals in the wild are known to stare off at their brothers and sisters even though they have never seen them in their entire life (One video shoes a adopted leopard being reintroduced into the wild when it comes across her more successful brother who did not need to be adopted, when they got close the female noticed something was off, at first they stared down, then she ran away). Other wise, maybe she's just interested in you. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1338928 Philippines 04/12/2011 10:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's a baby chill out! More than likely she senses the mothers feelings towards you and is expressing that in baby language. I would stop looking into the baby and start trying to figure out what issues the mother had with you. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 862413wow, really this is getting a little interesting, im not close with the mother, im not intending to be, end of story.. this is not the first time it happened, another baby but a bit older, like 1 year old, stares at me and weeps like hes about to cry, he always does this, dont know why.. |

Can you say CREEPY Quoting: Anonymous Coward 862413Very few people actually like babies anyway, aside from parents and very close relatives. The rest of us lie to you. My own babies were cute, everyone elses, were screaming shitsacks. I never wanted to hold anyone elses baby. Some babies are weird. Some are very sweet and easy to make happy. But most are weird with weird hangups and they are impossible and love to stress people out with their non-stop screaming. |

Be thankful OP. If the kid fell asleep and cooed and smiled each time you held it, the mother would be beating down your door to beg you to babysit it. I'd throw the vibe back to the kid that "I don't like you either, so there! Humph!" Don't make any eye contact with the kid, don't even acknowledge it's presence. When the topic is on baby, bring up your own kids or a kid that you get along with. Talk about their soccer skills or things they did as a baby. The re-direction of energy will let the kid know he is not the center of the universe the way he thinks he is. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1338974 Australia 04/12/2011 10:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My Brothers daughter was sort of like this. I found that by not looking back at her when she stares at me she would be comfortable. When I look back at her she will feel uneasy and start to sound upset or worried. The same happened to my Sisters son. I found that interacting with my brother or sister (parents) while the baby is around builds trust. DON'T stare back when they are checking you out, it makes them uneasy. Over time they will smile back when you wave instead or cry and scream. |

If you were truly evil OP, you'd be laughing like Dr.Doom over this and could care less that the little brat hates you, because you hate the brat too...if you were evil. Indifference is not evil. Obviously, this is hurting and concerning to you, which shows that you are a good person who means no harm. Babies just act like assholes to people they don't really know. Ask any mother who has the balls to tell you the truth how hard it is to acquaint a 6-8 month old kid with a new babysitter. They have seperation anxiety and think they and their mom are the centres of the universe. There is no room for outsiders, no matter how kind their intent, in their Mom-Baby Universe. |
