The best ever was several years ago me and El Q, had a falling out with Dr. Astro, and SS stepped in to help with matters. Well T bar joined in and before we knew it, the whole crew of consciousness awakening and strict scientific lords had a throw down. I believe its still erased from the files, it was awesome, and I've come to meet some halfway on certain topics. None of us really know alot, but we try and I've come to realize the heart knows the truth most of the time! You gotta love life, because it brings you to your next!

I feel this is the ideal thread to get Spiritual. Everyone here, including the lurkers are respectful of each others belief system.

We have all said it at one time or another here recently, time is of the essence. This thread is home base on this forum. Speak your truth here, it is safe, we do no harm.

Going forward I believe it is our belief systems that will pull us through.

Re: F.O.G.
'Holzer and his USGS coauthor James Savage studied earthquakes with death tolls of more than 50,000, which they define as catastrophic, and reported global death tolls from roughly 1500 A.D. to the present. Comparing those events to estimates of world population, they found that the number of catastrophic earthquakes has increased as population has grown. After statistically correlating the number of catastrophic earthquakes in each century with world population, they were able to use new (2011) 21st-century population projections by the United Nations to project that approximately 21 catastrophic earthquakes will occur in the 21st century, a tripling of the seven that occurred in the 20th century. They also predict that total deaths in the century could more than double to approximately 3.5 million people if world population grows to 10.1 billion by 2100 from 6.1 billion in 2000.'

Expert: Substantially more than 50,000,000 cubic feet of gas below surface near giant sinkhole? Covers over 2 square miles — Enough to do ‘very serious damage’ — New flyover footage posted (VIDEO)

Gary Hecox, a geologist with CB&I: The gas currently covers over 2 square miles, the extent is not well defined […] The gas across here is between 2 and 10 feet thick […] around 50-60 psi pressure […] it is enough to have large volumes come to the surface very rapidly if it’s uncontrolled. That's really disturbing.

The pressure is hard to conceive if you haven't worked with pressurized devices. For example, the tanker you see hauling gas to your local station is only pressure tested at 1.5 psi. And when they blow out during testing the boom is heard for many counties around the test site.

When you talk about 50 psi spread across 2 square miles, the force is incredible. This is the worst news out of that area I have heard to date. When she goes boom, it will be catastrophic beyond imagination.

Prayers are with you EC.

Incredibly Humanlike New Species of Blond Monkey Discovered in Congo

The constant news drumbeat of wildlife trafficking, habitat destruction, and extinctions can get pretty damn exhausting. And how bad was it when those new Caribbean lizards were announced with the caveat that they are likely already extinct? Well, here’s a ray of sunshine amidst the gloom: A new species of monkey has been described in the still-mysterious rainforests in the central of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Researchers said that it’s only the second new monkey species discovered in 28 years.

Fishermen, acting on gut, find crash site, 2 girls

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — As their mother lay dead in the middle of the night, a 4-year-old Oregon girl dragged her seriously injured younger sister from a crashed car and the two huddled under a blanket — and waited.

With the mangled car stuck deep in the woods, and no skid marks on the highway, the crash site was nearly impossible to detect.

In fact, authorities estimate the sisters were alone in the frigid woods for several hours early Wednesday as many motorists passed it by.

The children finally got help after two commercial fishermen spotted what appeared from a distance to be a basketball-sized gash in an alder tree along State Highway 401 between Astoria, Ore., and Naselle, Wash. Kraai McClure and Scott Beutler travel the two-lane road frequently, and had a gut feeling something was wrong

"I don't know exactly what told us to turn around, but I'm just really thankful we did," McClure said Thursday.

The men spotted the wrecked car a few hundred feet from the road. Nearby were the two young girls, scared and confused. "They could say their names but were totally in shock," McClure said.

The Washington State Patrol said the girls' mother, 26-year-old Jessica Rath of Astoria, probably was asleep when she veered off the road and struck the tree shortly after midnight. She died at the scene.

McClure and Beutler discovered the crash site around 8:30 a.m.
Winger described the fishermen as heroes for acting on their hunch. McClure, however, gave the credit to Aryanna for helping Lylah out of the car and keeping her warm.

"She saved her sister," McClure said. "She was sharp enough. I don't know how she did it or anything else, but something was watching over those little girls."

"It was amazing that the little 4-year-old — I have a little 4-year-old, too, she's almost 5 — was able to get her little sister out and do that," he added. "It just blows my mind that she could do that in that situation. I don't know if she waited until morning, when they could see, but, you know, it just makes me want to cry."

Threat of space objects demands international coordination, UN team says

Snip:
20 February 2013 – In the wake of a meteor impact in Russia that shattered windows over a wide area, injuring hundreds of people and terrifying thousands, a United Nations team today called for international cooperation to face the threat of near space objects.

“If the proposed coordination mechanism was in place, then at minimum it would have allowed for more observation and better understanding and education of the population on what to expect rather than having a surprise effect with people not knowing what was happening,” Sergio Camacho, Chairman of the Action Team on Near-Earth Objects of the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), said at a press conference in Vienna.

Re: F.O.G.
Okay, I am on one of those research tangents that is solar related, mostly, sorta. Started to post this over on the solar thread but was worried it might be slightly off topic so posting here!
smile_kiss

*snip
The real power behind climatic change has always been the Earth's interactions with the Sun and our fellow planets. On the most obvious level our regular yearly orbit around the Sun coupled with the inclination of our axis gives us our regular cycle of opposite seasons in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. But because of the gravitational influences of the other planets the Earth's orbit isn't always circular - at times our orbit becomes more of an ellipse which takes us farther away from the sun.

A further complication is the influence of the planets on the rotation and orbit of the Sun itself. When the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn end up in the same quadrant, their combined gravity can cause a wobble in the Sun's orbit and influence its rotational speed. Perhaps most importantly, the confluence of the gas giants in the same quadrant can affect the Sun's magnetic field. All of these factors influence the Sun's effects on the Earth.

The interactions between the Sun and planets are complex since each celestial body has a different orbital period and rotational speed. However, since the movements of each celestial body are relatively consistent, those sets of interactions that influence the Earth appear to us as regular cycles with predictable periodicity. The geological record indicates that these cycles have been consistent for at least the last three million years. The history of the Earth locked up in the Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets show that ice ages in particular have consistently followed the same regular pattern for at least the last 250,000 years.

Re: F.O.G.
Okay, I am on one of those research tangents that is solar related, mostly, sorta. Started to post this over on the solar thread but was worried it might be slightly off topic so posting here!

The history of the Earth locked up in the Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets show that ice ages in particular have consistently followed the same regular pattern for at least the last 250,000 years.

you're on it, what we forget is the response to other anomalous activities that aren't ELECTRIC, actually catalyst of electromagnetism, gas release convenes with shear pressure, which creates poiezoelecric response. everything is an inert relation. Like layers of the sun revealing currents and density reactions, our earth is exact in this picture, we have density differentials and chemical variances, but everything is vastly similar. Why , we mimic the parent as best we can given the parameters

You're a smart cookie WA, I can tell you're picking this up. I had years of teaching, yet you're a natural! LOVE IT!

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan

Thanks hf

Sometimes we all just need to know we are on the right track when we are researching, or we veer off into na-na land never to be seen again....

That the giant gas planets effect us like the article stated was actually the first I had read about it which of course sent my straight line searching off into about 5 different paths.

A post I read recently seems to be making more and more sense to me: if the gooberment says it, then do the opposite. So if Global Warming is wrong (most of us agree it is) then it is Global Cooling we need to worry about. Makes perfect sense to me.
