Neither of the dogs was current on the rabies vaccination and the owner of the dogs has decided to
them to Animal Services for euthanasia. Animal Services reminds pet owners that rabies is still present in the local wild animal population and is a threat to pets and humans, year-round. The best way to protect your pets from rabies is to have them properly vaccinated for rabies.

Now this is scary. Been too quiet since 9/11 and appears to be picking up again.

One day it will spread world wide, just a matter of time IMHO.

Yup the news is depressing and stressful so don't forget to say your prayers, focus on something great and loving and thank God for what you do have. With all the turmoil going on, those in America have been blessed, never fail to remember what you do have compared to a Third world area. that should help you in finding something to be thankful for.

Not preaching to the choir, I sometimes lose focus and can't seem to find a bloody thing to be thankful for when I am sitting in front of a nice computer, listening to a good tv, chatting with friends online, in a temperature controlled home, the enough food, enough gasoline, enough safety and enough love from my family.

(CNN) -- Federal authorities responded Tuesday to a report of a possible hazardous substance at a mail facility at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in the nation's capital, Lt. Col. Thomas F. Veale, a military spokesman, told CNN.
A potentially harmful substance was detected during a routine screening of incoming mail, Veale said.
Tests indicate it is a possible biotoxin, he said.
