Oh this is really bad!!

WA as you know I live near the foothills, not as close as a few months ago however still very close.

I cannot see the foothills due to the thick smoke!

When I was driving home from work I was getting a headache, now it is just a dull ache.

Couple that with the AC going out and 100 degree weather, sleeping is becoming a luxury I miss very much!! lol

Stay Safe and indoors as much as possible.

hugs

You stay safe also. The air quality is horrific. So glad I don't live south. We just put a new air filter on the A/C that is suppose to help more for this. I can already feel a bit of asthma and I only have the mild form!!

So glad you moved from where you were!

Re: F.O.G.
So far record breaking heat is hitting many areas in Colorado. Winds are gusting 30-50mph. Humidity is only 5%. Guess what that means...yes you are right.

3 new wildfires have started and spreading in CO. If the wind doesn't start laying down for the night, almost 8pm here now and still windy, these fires will have spread big time by morning!!!
 Quoting: whiteangel

Today we broke 100. This is the earliest date for 100+ temps in history for the Denver area.

The fire at the Royal Gorge has burned structures on both sides of the bridge, unk until tomorrow if the bridge it's self was damaged. For those who have been there, the walk way is made out of wood!

The Black Forest fire just north of Colorado Springs is in the area of the large Waldo Canyon fire from last year. So far 10-12 homes have burned or been damaged with a higher total likely come daylight.

You can smell smoke when you go outside! Couldn't smell it earlier today.
 Quoting: whiteangel

I've been super busy but have been following this closely, you be carefull!!!!!!!!

Everyone in Iowa , Ill, hell most of the northeast, be carefull the squall line is just forming and this storm has massive energy behind it. Rotation in a big cell already heading toward northern Chicago.

[link to radar.weather.gov]

This line is now forming, pray for all those people in line of this thing, could be a 600 to 900 mile line with 60 to 90 mph winds.
 Quoting: shadasonic

You know how everyone was talking about natural gas explosions for awhile??

A little bit ago we heard a boom and windows shook a little. I thought my son might have knocked something over in the basement...no. So looked around outside (like I can see anything through the haze) and nothing.

Was watching the news for the wildfire updates and there was a natural gas explosion and two homes were destroyed, getting more info still.

Here is the kicker, we live at least 10 miles from the explosion!!!

WA and TT, keep your bug out bags ready and up to date. I've been watching your's and New Mexico's fires. You know, these things can esculate in minutes! Please be careful. I remember when we had our bad fire season a couple of years ago. I think I'm more afraid of range fires than almost anything in the world. Praying for you all.

I found this last year after a long discussion with my cousin. Him and a few of his science friends are convinced that the earth has actually shifted about 15-20% and the above image is what he thinks it looks like now or close to it. When you look at the weather changes and match them up to locations that their weather now mimics, it lines up pretty well.

Edit: This is physical shifting. No one in an official position would let us peons know this.

I've had these issues too lately Shad, still in Arkansas and the signal has been intermittent so I thought that was the problem. It did help to restart the computer though, WA has the right idea!

Hi everyone, checking the thread daily, have got my mom more settled, heading to TN tomorrow to get a U-Haul full of her furniture and bring it here so she can have more of her things surrounding her. They say it helps with dementia patients, hope so.

Thanks everyone for keeping all the info coming, when is AK back home?

TT and WA stay safe, girls, the CO wildfires seem to be so big, are they getting under control tonight? Hope its better.

Take care F.O.G. family!

I've rebooted, updated, cleared cache, deleted browsing history and refreshed, still got the black square instead of the you tube video.
