Eating vegetables and meat
Does anyone else feel 200% better when they cut out sugar and carbohydrates and just eat meat and vegetables?

Every time I restrict my diet to just meat and veggies for a couple days my mood becomes better and I have so much energy when I wake up.

The only problem is its expensive to buy meat every day and so much easier to buy fast food. If I could afford it I would be eating just meat and veggies every day.

Re: Eating vegetables and meat
I only eat veggies and have never felt better. I haven't been sick in years, My great Granda lived to be 99 eating only vegetables and my grandparents are both nearly 90. Strictly no meat or dairy.

Processed food is just rubbish, as for meat it's doing more damage to people than they ever realize. It baffles me how we have not evolved past killing innocent creatures for no real reason, taste is a useless and selfish sense these days.

Legumes are natures meat, so don't tell me flesh is essential to a balanced diet - that's BS.

It's called Atkins. Millions of people agree with you, OP. All the people who haven't tried it seem to have something negative to say about it, but if you have tried it, then you understand.

Re: Eating vegetables and meat
I did this with vegetables from the supermarket and felt it.

Then try going to a local farmers market, google for the ones closest to you, luckily for me the local farmers market is an organic one.
It is awesome, I bought organic potatoes that had been dug up the night before the market.

The first time I cooked the local, organic veggies I thought they had a little more flavour but not much more, however when i didnt make it one week and went back to store bought veggies I noticed the difference straight away.

THe market organic fruit and veg had much fuller flavour and they had a nicer texture to them too.

You have to mix beans with grains (i.e. rice) to get a complete protein.

Avoiding carbs is a fail.

You need to ratio balance all your meals.

Read "burn the fat feed the muscle".

Best book you can read on the topic.

Not everyone is the same, Type O bloodlines need meat or they will feel weak and fatigued.

Since limiting my carbs to 2 days a week I discovered my seasonal allergies disappeared!.....I still have my low carb pasta Wed. and pizza Sat.....the rest of the week is meat and leafy greens....I also lost 20lbs since Jan. .......I derived much benefits from just carb restriction without going full Atkins...everything in moderation....

Re: Eating vegetables and meat
Absolutely, OP!

But if you narrow your meats down to bird and fish, its better.

I understand its even better if you go full out vegetarian.

Don't cut out your fruits.

Lol just to let you know, the reason everyone hasn't "evolved" into eating just veggies is because if they did there wouldn't be enough food. Close to 40% of our earth would be wiped out.
