Passover was on Nisan 14, which corresponds this year to yesterday. Not a particular day of the week. Nisan 14 is a different day of the week each year.....just like my Birthday is not always on Sunday

Just go with the New Jerusalem calendar and Passover is March 14 (1/14) every year and Easter is March 22 (1/22) every year.

if you wanna get people to follow your new jerusalem calendar, the least you could do is try not to make your videos so damn boring. I mean, do you really expect anyone to sit through 10+ minutes of monotone babbling?

In Humphreys' theory, Jesus went by an old-fashioned Jewish calendar rather than the official calendar which was in widespread use at the time of his death and is still in use today.

This would put the Passover meal -- and the Last Supper -- on the Wednesday, explaining how such a large number of events took place between the meal and the crucifixion.

For the first time, Humphreys investigates the possibility that a third calendar was in use. The official Jewish calendar at the time of Jesus’ death was that still used by Jews today; a lunar system in which days run from sunset to sunset. This was developed during the Jewish exile in Babylon in the 6th century BC.

Beforehand, however, the Jews had a different system. This is referred to in the Book of Exodus in the Old Testament, when God instructs Moses and Aaron to start their year at the time of the Exodus from Egypt. Humphreys argues that this system would have been an adaptation of the Egyptian lunar calendar (confusingly one of two systems used by the Egyptians), in which the start of the year was redated to occur in the spring.

There is, he adds, extensive evidence to suggest that this survived as more than a remnant into Jesus’ time. Not all Jews were exiled in Babylon. Those who remained retained the old system of marking the days, and by the 1st century AD, groups such as the Samaritans, Zealots, some Galileans and some Essenes (who may well have provided Jesus with the accommodation used for the Last Supper), were still abiding by the old system.

+1 You just don't get it Russ, the last thing most people think of when they look at a calendar would be religion, maybe unless you're a christian and you're marking down sunday mornings for church and whatnot. I'm pretty sure millions of atheists follow the gregorian calendar, so how does that make sense going by your logic?
