Right, an Australian news site.. ok that explains why they are decades out of date. I live on said fault, and we've always known about it and the possibility of a Mega quake. In fact we're overdue for one. I was living in Nanaimo when the biggest recorded quake hit Alaska in 1964, the tidal wave was very devastating on the west coast of Vancouver Island. When this one hits some time it will be much worse, but I'm planning to move back to Nanaimo this year, so I'll be rolling the dice, but looking for a house on very high ground, and hope for the best.
