I trust those publications, particularly Aviation Weekly, because anybody that actually WORKS in the Satellite industry knows they're "on it" when it comes to what's happening in the space industry. I know of at least one bird that I worked with where the mission classification was downgraded BECAUSE of something that was posted in Aviation Weekly. In fact, industry professionals even jokingly refer to that publication as "Aviation Leak" because they are so well informed.

Ask a MC, OA, or PA what THEY read. They'll tell you the same thing. Aviation Weekly and the others are the industry news of PROFESSIONALS. That is why I place trust in what those particular publications have to say. They are NOT basement sitting hobbyists second guessing things because they don't have all the facts, resources, or connections and who start drawing imaginative conclusions to fill in the holes.

As for lobbing one for Astronut to spike over the net? Why? Because I think his answers to questions are competent and make sense based on MY knowledge of space topics? THAT is the only reason I specifically asked HIM to answer and didn't ask for general responses from people like yourself. Astronut has proved REPEATEDLY that he knows his stuff. Simple as that.

You, Sir, have only proved that you obviously feel threatened by Astronut for some reason. Your correspondence and it's tone pretty much speaks for it's self. That, to me, does not make you a reliable or source to answer my questions.

For me, Astronut's history of answers make logical sense on a topic with which I have at least a little bit of familiarity. The person who ended up answering my questions (no name provided) also seems to have done their homework and I appreciate their taking the time to respond. I will do further research on my own but I now have a direction in which to look. For that, I am appreciative. Simple as that.

People will see what they want to see. Believe Astronut(or anyone else) or don't. I certainly wont loose sleep over what you choose to believe or speculate about...and I'm SURE Astronut (and others) wont either.

Did it occur to you that certain functions might be compartmentalized and handled by outside agencies and that OTHER programs might use some of the same equipment and resources as the shuttle program? When you are in a hole, stop digging

I will say that I did support one STS mission though. The MISSION being the key word here. Even in that capacity, Once again, I have NEVER worked for NASA. Sighhhh.....
