David Wilkerson left behind an amazing record of His intercession for America. His cries for her salvation, and for her lost. He also, cared about the lost all over the world and his ministry was world wide.

The Vision by David Wilkerson is a warning for America, published in 1973 much of what was written is still coming to pass today. I believe we can change the tide in prayer for our nation. Nevertheless, there will be a time when it will be to late.

The world lost a real man of God today!
I grew up listening to his cassette sermons because my parents loved his preaching.
They also had bought air time on a radio station to share his messages of God.

Thanks fiftybucks. I believe David Wilkerson's passing will give occasion for his writings, and sermons, to be looked at once again, on a wider scale, hopefully, by generations not that acquainted with him. Now more than ever, his preaching and books are relevant for what is happening in our world today.

I read this book in 1978 and remembered it in the 80's when I began to see the things David Wilkerson warned about coming to pass. In the early 90's I tried to find a copy of it, and could find it no where, it was as if it fell off the ends of the earth. I told people about this book and some did not believe that I was telling the truth about it, couldn't believe that someone could be so accurate, prophetically, thank God it seemed to start resurfacing after 911, and they could see for themselves it was truly an amazing book.

I wonder if this is an OMEN/Sign that the days of Warning are ending and Judgement has come.

I'm actually listening to The Vision right not because of your post. It's scary stuff here because this is happening NOW.
It's a lot to take in.
I agree and I have this gut feeling that God called Him home before stuff gets really bad.

His last words in his blog ...this is not an accident ... It is all kind of mind blowing and hard to understand. He spoke of persecution coming to the church ... I am not trying to allude to a conspiracy but I am suggesting that there may have been a satanic hit on him, that did not involve human intent, and the thing is we do not always understand what is at play, but persecution and martyrdom does not always mean crosses and guillotines.

I do believe this is a warning to all of us to sober up. I do believe we are running out of time. We are facing severe changes in our world, David Wilkerson's warnings from God are still at our feet, it is "pray and repent now" today, while it is still today, tomorrow may be to late.

" ... It was no failure on your part ..." if their was any failure it was that the church in America has not been building up her walls and covering her warriors. Sleeping in the tower ...

I believe in the book he spoke of it being common place for thugs that would move through the city, in groups/gangs raping people, beating, and robbing. Areas given up to criminals. I could not fathom such a thing in America. This was in 1978. Now, it is daily news.

access to X rated movies in every home. I could not fathom that either. But then the VCR began to show up in every home a few years later ... and cable ..

I feel like we are turning a corner. How is it we get shook up and then settle into crazier norms. Japan just had a record breaking earth quake and is fighting to keep a nuclear plant from having a melt down while thousands of gallons of radio active water is pouring into the pacific. Things are not okay, folks ... one day it will be to late. It will. That is the cold hard facts. One day we will have gone to far, the bible says they will regret. There will be weeping and a gnashing of teeth, in utter agony and regret, because they had so many chances to make it right, and let them slip by .. today is the day to be rescued from our lostness.

David Wilkerson at 79 died in Texas. Many of his sermons are found on youtube.
