Any game/mod creators, artists, coders, or devs on GLP?
Wondering if there are any video game artists, writers, hobbists, coders, etc here on GLP?

I was thinking about getting a group together to develop a demo maybe using Unity3D. The style and genre I was thinking would be a post-apocalyptic RPG as if 'Blizzard" made it (as in World of Warcraft). Basically picture WoW crossed with Fallout/Metro2033.

Im quite an experienced 3D Artist/Animator myself and just wondered if there are any fellow GLPers oout there that just happen to have any of these skills.

What a better way to make a SHTF game with a team artists/writers/coders from GLP.

Well you never know ;)

anyhow it would be super cool if a mod reading this would pin it for me as that would be the only chance it would get noticed by any qualified developers here.

It would be neat if we could even get a WIP thread up here so everyone on GLP can keep up on the updates and progress we make (screenshots, story snippets, concept art etc)

I know some might think thats its crazy comtemplating doing anything serious with anyone that comes here but I bet there has to be some talented people that might be interested in getting some kind of workable demo produced.

I mean i seen an amazing amount of talent from when trinity had the GLP logo and theme song contests, so i know there is a wide variety of professionals here along with all the nuts too.

I have an idea for a social network, and would love to meet some programmers, coders, artist, designers, etc. I'm basically an idea looking for its creators. It's almost an evolution for the social media craze the idea/project I have in mind.

If anyone is interested in working together and making this happen, please reply.

wow see alreay some people with some skills.
Yeah I just threw it out there just to see if there was a response.

But it would definitely need some serious planning.

Well lets see the responses and if I can get several coders, some artists, a couple writers maybe we can get something going.

I guess just PM me here at GLP and I will get back to everyone when I get enough responses and some planning done.

And anyone one that has any management experience in anything related to a project like this Id love to hear from you if you we're willing to help.

Im guessing priority would be:

- Concept Artists

- Writers

- Coders (that would be interested in downloading and checking out Unity3D)

- Development Manager ( I have done this with a mod years ago and really wanted to stick to the art side only)

Like picture GTA open world sorta thing the way WoW works as a realtime "world", with Fallout type artistic design.

- Make it humanoid (with rat head, rat legs etc)
- long pink nasty tail
- Make sure to keep it in a WOW-like style though.

That should be a decent test.

And please post it here.
Maybe we can generate some excitement.
