Freedom as in no electricity and spending 8 hours a day acquiring meals? Or... Freedom as in not having to worry about mowing the lawn?
Quoting: PinkLilPantiesFreedom, as in no one telling you how high your grass can grow.
That kind of freedom.
Quoting: misterxI agree. Everyone has their plot of residence and can maintain it however they like. How would you make sure that entire communities do not go to complete decay?
Quoting: PinkLilPantiesThat's where cooperation does come into play.
People have to learn to cooperate.
I don't like rats either.
Coercion doesn't work, though.
The neighbor's grass ain't the problem, maybe.
Trash strewn around the yard is, maybe, another matter entirely.
Without freedom real cooperation will not develop, though -- only the simulation of it.
Some communities will go into "decay" perhaps, but those that don't will thrive where the others fail. Learing. Evolution.
It is time for mankind, if it survives this present age (extermely unlikely) to advance beyond dominance and coercion.
