Quoting: LadyLeoAfghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia & now Libya, the U.S. seems to have a knack for bombing & killing across the world in the name of removing evil dictators from power, killing the enemy or spreading our democracy. Not only do our "representatives get away with this, by they carry the support of half the country when they start a new killing spree. What is going on here, I mean really? I can't help but wonder if this same half of the country would support a Russia or Chinese invasion or bombing of the U.S. in the name of "Removing our evil dictator(s)"? Or perhaps the bombing of states like Texas, Arizona, new Mexico, Utah or California under the guise of stopping the violent drug traffickers from Mexico? How about the arial bombing of Arizona because the legislators in AZ are trying to remove illegal immigrants from their state? I've noticed that every time there is a peaceful march or protest in America, people end up in the hospital, so do we need help? How would we treat the people who aided the Chinese or Russian soldier who occupied our country? Would we treat them as traitors & insurgents or respectable countrymen? I ask this because according to our own standards, we are under the rule of an evil & tyrannical regime. So surly then it must be alright with the Neo-Conservatives & the newly conformed pro-Obama war-mongers if this same violence is used against the U.S. by a foreign nation or government? After all, it's for our own good....right? I hear almost every Neo-Con say that they believe in Jesus or that they are Christian's, but doesn't the bible fit a stern warning to the murderous, the hateful & the hypocrite? Doesn't it give harsh warning to all those who manipulate the word of God, in order to justify their hate based opinion or violent cause? Isn't our murderous attitude toward other countries sure to fall back on our own heads? Is the U.S. to special or so exceptional that we are exempt from divine & due justice from the God of the universe? They made it our business. Yes, G W Bush made a mistake by invading Iraq, but its not like Saddam was innocent. Egypt was a joke from the start that CNN, mainly Anderson Pooper, convinced the world that kids in skinny jeans just wanted a better life. Not even close. But what happened? The people begged and begged for help. So we helped. And in Libya, the people saw what we did for Egypt and wanted the same help. Only this time, Ghadafi doesnt back down and NATO lights em up. People are being beheaded because they are standing up to the other side. You say we like the US is the only one. In Libya, it was the French who struck first. We wouldn't want Russia/China or any other country invading us because so many of you here hate the current president, Barack Hussein Obama II, but we are doing the same thing to other nations. Our invasion into other countries is disguised as "help" and "aid" but it really isn't at all. This country is setting up puppets around the world, I bet if we succeed in Lybia there will be a new military base for the US there. I'm with the OP here, it's not about Russia/China invading the US to help the citizens, he's trying to say that we shouldn't be doing it around the world. Nobody helped us fight the British, nobody helped women get their rights, nobody helped black people gain some freedom, etc, etc - do you not understand? It's almost the same situation with aliens, everybody should be left to their own demise/progression. Nobody should interefere in internal affairs, the same way you don't get involve in an arguement in a marriage. I understand some of these countries "asked" for help, but why is it that when this country and NATO responded the majority were shocked that we were there. How come Afghanistan people don't want us there? They didn't want us there from the very beginning. Iraquis want us out, even Japan wants our military base out of there. The US can not afford all the things it is doing, but we keep spending and spending. If we were to bring back out troops, and close those bases, the country would be better protected, we can start building eco-friendly cities, open up factories and give people jobs. Plenty of things would flourish. |
