My reading/understanding of this film primarily involves The League of Shadows. Ra's al Ghul wants to position Bruce Wayne (Gotham's "favored son") to "to strike at at the heart of criminality" and allow Gotham to die. Ra's al Ghul says destruction of this kind is the "most important function of the League of Shadows" and one they've performed for centuries (like Constantinople and Rome.)

While Bruce disagrees with this function, he even admits its validity saying "People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy."

Ultimately, however, Bruce stops the League's plan. In a way the League has infighting (as though Bruce does not consider himself a member, Bane refers to him as "initiated") and there's debate about how best to help Gotham grow.

Taking a look at these films within the context of your posts & present day, I would say:

1. The League of Shadows = Elite/Illuminated Families on Earth

2. Infighting = disagreements between factions (you've mentioned the Illuminated in India having a very different approach to yours.)

3. The League's plan to bring order out of chaos = an illuminated group here on Earth to use something like Mad Cow disease (as you've suggested) as a catalyst for change.

So what's coming next? I suppose catastrophic death.

What does come next? Also, can you tie some of the film's characters to people/organizations in the world? For example: who/what does Bane represent? Ra's al Ghul? I know the India family is passive/does not interfere, but is there a Bruce Wayne type person/organization fighting against this type of harsh change?

What Lines?

A very very desensitized group of people. Don't look up Chinese fur farms. You will never sleep again. Or the goddamn dog meat festivals where it is believed torture makes the meat better.
