here's a "good" idea; texas to allow concealed handguns on campuses

They should ban golf clubs from campus because you can beat someone to death with them. And they should ban motor vehicles because a CRAAAAAAZY student might run someone over. They should ban books because someone might use them as kindling for arson. We'll destroy all the computers so nobody can dismantle them and use the parts to build a bomb! While we're at it let's put corks on all the forks so nobody can poke their eyes out

In fact let's just create laws to suppress ALL FORMS of technology, how about that OP? If we just sit around all day not doing anything all day (except of course being afraid of technology), nobody will get hurt, EVER!

By the way I don't own a gun and I don't ever WANT to own a gun, but if you think that making something illegal is going to keep it out of a college kid's hands, you haven't been to any colleges lately.

Better that the peaceful, law-abiding students have access to a real form of self defense if they choose to

give me a break. these things are not a WEAPON that was CREATED to cause harm. and anyone who thinks 100% of the students who now have permission to keep concealed weapons would not abuse is it delusional.

It isn't "kids". You MUST be 21 to get a concealed gun permit...which MOST college students aren't. And there's a background check.

100 years ago most "kids" that age would be married and supporting a family. They were productive members of society. They had guns and could use them safely. And we wonder why things are the way they are? How about we all shut up and let the ADULTS who live on that campus decide for themselves what they want. FFS, people have no problem sending them off to foreign lands to be cannon fodder but they can't have a gun on hand to protect themselves if need be? How many rapes alone occur on college campuses?

Not sure you Guns In Bars and Guns In Hospitals and Guns In Schools activist REALLY WANT DEMOCRACY ie: A VOTE bythose directly affected ... since you already know that at most schools you would lose any such vote and lose big.
