I need a bike that would go at least 55mph and approx 150 miles per charge. Quoting: GrizzlyBearIn ten years when batteries and electric motors are better that will be possible(if doom will wait until then) I live in the country and it's twenty miles to work, I will take my elec cycle to work and charge it there.(I'm building my first one rite now, almost donw removing motor and trany) Last Edited by GROUND ZERO on 05/10/2011 10:13 PM Step aside NASA, GLPs has got this one covered |

Quoting: Comedianyup, I've added shit up and I could get it down to 2,200 for a moped or dirtbike style with 35MPH top speed and 20 mile range at 20MPH, but I'd rather pay 6,500 for somthing with cooler looks and more kick. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1094810 Canada 05/10/2011 10:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A big part of the thrill of riding a motorcycle is the noise of the exhaust. The old biker adage "loud pipes saves lives" would effect how people think about these things. There is also the stigma of electric scooters and the association that bikers would make. You might be able to attract some granola folks but not true bikers. |

GROUND ZERO (OP) User ID: 1147282 United States 05/10/2011 10:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would pay 10000 for one that could hold its own against a 600 supersport bike, and go 100 miles. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1005303There is a good useful opinion. I could build one thay could whoop anything under 700cc. in acceleration, prob not top speed, for 10,000(but racing like that you'd have maybe ten miles of range at most), you could get 50 miles at 45MPh prob for that price. I'd need to charge like, 15,000 at least. Last Edited by GROUND ZERO on 05/10/2011 10:29 PM Step aside NASA, GLPs has got this one covered |

Quoting: CLAM _IGGERwe're talkin more like 20,000 here. Have you not seen the Vectrix electric motorcycle? 70mph, 100 mile range, and not even close to $20,000 buddy. Quoting: CLAM _IGGERwe're talkin more like 20,000 here. and thats the problem with renewable energy, it isnt cheap. and neither are vehicles. Christians have had to face and realize their own sins, and feel compelled to try and help others as well. This chant of Holier than thou is wrong and is taught by others making you think what is cool or acceptable to them. The thought of "believe as i do" is strongly in an unbelievers life, because they feel they will be ridiculed by their friends. Every falsehood a unbeliver weilds, is merely a reflection of the obstacles that unbeliever must face from his very own peers. Unbelievers are the true followers, they are dedicated to fear of what other people think of them. And because of this, they are ashamed of themselves, but wall themselves up to feel comfortable and safe, assuring themselves with rationality and laughter.
