Born without Fingerprints/Footprints. *UPDATE FOOTAGE FOUND* from 1979-1980 on TV show "That's Incredible!"

Incredible. Have you ever been fingerprinted for a job and how do you explain this to someone? How did they do the footprint on the birth certificate?

Yes I have been fingerprinted, I did security most of my early 20s. The FBI sent it back twice because it was "inconclusive/smeared". I still got hired. They look like minature stain glass window honeycombs instead of swirled. My hands on the inside are almost translucent.

Footprints have only been from birth certificate and they just came out totally blank, with only creases visible where skin would be.

Some rare gems on that show indeed...

So here I am trying to look up stuff for my dear niece, her mom-mom, and dad. It brought me right to you Jason! LOL I was actually looking for the That's Incredible footage. For the life of me, I still can't get over that I remember watching that episode in my grandparents' living room and then meeting you guys like 18 years later. Full circle, right? I'm still doing medical research on all of the medical oddities within my grouping of family. If I find anything, I'll be sure to let your mom and Jen know! XO

Did you ever find the footage anywhere?
I've looked too on the Internet. But, if you REALLY want it you can get it from John Lockyer who was the primary subject of the "no fingerprints" episode. He is my Uncle. Mary Dugan (Lockyer) was my grandmother.
I have the same no fingerprint condition. I remember as a kid when they were going to film that. I didn't want to be there because the last thing I needed as a kid was being some freak. I got made fun of as it was for the weird looking hands. Anyway, I know my uncle John has that video on a VHS tape. I should borrow it and convert it to DVD.

You are related to me then, because John and Rosemary Dugan are my grandparent's and I used to live by John Lockyer, hope all is well with him.

If you could get ahold of the VHS tape and convert it to DVD that would be great, I was hoping to do the same thing but I am currently not in PA at the moment to do this. Maybe when I get back.

Nice to see some relatives and those with the same condition come across this post!

Hopefully the person above who is a relative can convert the episode to digital format and I can edit that episode/post it on youtube and here.

That is interesting...the last we heard only 4 families in the world were known to have this. Mine, A Canadian Family, Japanese, and a Swiss family.

That's my Uncle John and the Dugans. Holy crap does he look young.
I was a kid when that show aired. Nobody at school believed me that my uncle would be on the show! I just saw Uncle John over Thanksgiving and blew his mind by playing the video (he's not tech savvy in the least bit).
Now looking back, I wish I showed up that day they filmed the episode by as a kid, I didn't need any "you're different" attention.
Well, I'm thrilled to see the video. I saw it once live on TV and once from a VHS tape my uncle has, but it has been decades!
I still have no use for no fingerprints. The dry hands is more of a pain in the butt more than anything.
