I looked at other sites and found a disclaimer about some radar echoes. They call it anomalous propagation, and they remove some echoes close to the radar site. May be why it looks unnatural. [link to weather.unisys.com] yeah...it's called ground clutter and it's easy to identify as it doesnt move..You'll get it in big cities and they've been become pretty good about getting rid of that.. |

If it weren't 4:38am I'd spend the time finding it for you. I'm in Cali but away from the proximity of the tornado forecast. Stay safe. |

Seems to me that article implies there in no moisture falling, and its just echolocations on the radar, I live in Cali, and can tell you it is raining, and there are thunderstorms as I type. The worst of it is expected tomorrow. I'll check back and post anything new i see |

I'm not discounting the possibility but you said "forecast" and that is untrue. We had a decent tornado(for here anyway) earlier this winter about 15 miles north of me in the Sutter Buttes(well after moving over them..provided enough lift and convection for a good cell to form..but it was the classic Cali tornado--an F0-F1 at best. Possible we'll see one..very unlikely though..Actually nowhere in the lower 48 are there any "forecasts" for any tornadoes. ALWAYS THE POSSIBLE THOUGH |
