COMETS SLOW DOWN AND SLINGSHOT BACK OUT BECAUSE OF OUR SUN'S GRAVITATIONAL INFLUENCE. WELL WHAT IF?

Comet Elenin is expected to get slowed down and slung shot back out into space by our Sun. Comet Elenin is expected to pass ahead of Earth then Earth will be in it's tail. Well what if the slow down and sling shot process generates enough force on Comet Elenin that it drastically changes it's trajectory? Bringing it closer to Earth and possibly slow it's projected trajectory down enough to cause Comet Elenin to collide with our Planet. Or just cause it to come closer to us that it wreaks havoc on out Planet.

That is a thought that crossed my mind today after thinking about the threads here about those Comets that have collided with our Sun. If any one has noticed, SOHO has deleted frames out of the recent movies from 20110515 to 20110516 when the latest Comet was seen on a collision course towards our Sun. These Comets usually get slowed down and slung shot back out into space by our Sun. In the process of getting slowed and slung shut their trajectory can be changed by our Sun significantly.

Just a thought. What you guys think?
