I mean, WTF??

The next big question on the federal debt limit could be whether to start selling the government’s holdings of gold at Fort Knox — and at least one presidential contender, Ron Paul, has told The New York Sun he thinks it would be a good move.

AND

But it's also true that Ron Paul-style themes have percolated through the conservative movement since Paul's beat-the-spread 2008 presidential campaign. Of all those themes, the one that has achieved the widest audience is Paul's call for a return to money based on precious metals such as gold and silver.

I'm not sure if there is any gold in Ft. Knox.

Where are all the tungsten bars??

Ron Paul is not making any sense with contradictory positions, but not sure what he has really said. He can bring issues to the table, but will never get MSM support.

Well, to play devils advocate (not that I am a Paul supported as I feel he is just one of "them" anyhow) but he COULD be hoping that by trying to sell the Gold- it would have to be made public that there IS no gold.

By getting the American people hyped up on how "we can sell the golds and be a rich Country again" enough pressure COULD be put upon the guvment to admit... there is no gold.

Pretty obvious from the hearing I watch today his intention is to force them to account for it>>> He suspects they already sold it.

Ron Paul has just pandered to an element of the far rightwing his entire career. He doesn't care if he makes sense. After all, his 90s newsletters that made him rich were basically tailored for the Michigan Militia and full of ridiculous crap.

I am not a fan.

Gold standard is the intention of the money elite. It's just another way to rob the public again. It's a set up and the people will beg for it.

We're being played. It's known as the Long Con.

It further prevents discussion of a real solution which is the end of all forms of usery!
