interstate highway system upgrade

what if we had high speed rail except instead of passenger cars it ran platforms that you could drive your car up onto?

so I could drive my car onto a platform at/near a normal interstate exit, kick back at 250 mph and wait until we've made it to the city i'm going to see ...

we have like 2 million truckers doing 100k+ miles per year and almost all of those miles would be saved by a system like this. plus you could make weekend trips half way across the country for little to nothing. it would even be feasible to leave new york early and enjoy the florida beaches during the day, back by night, no airplanes.

no more wrecks on the highways, traffic is automatic. blaze it up or kick back with a beer, you aint driving...
