ok i feel bad for the op because a lot of shills have taken to this thread. So let me start here

www.lucaswhitefieldhixson.blogspot.com

or my youtube channel

compassnorthchicago

I have been following the Fukushima situation full-time since mid-March.

I have posted ample data and media online, that have been reviewed and approved by nuclear experts including Dr Caldicott and Dr Busby (unlike most of the loud voices on forums)

I also have proof - ie Pictures and media showing a pattern of nighttime events at Fukushima

so before you shill this comment, go do and find a fraction of the data I have, then review it for 60 days, then lets talk

1 - I don't see evidence of fire - the "orange glow" is in my opinion likely a boom from the cement sprayers they are using to inject water

2 - in my opinion this is smoke not steam, as evidenced by the density and color

3 - The plant is not lit up like the picture of the American plant, because THEY DO NOT HAVE AMPLE POWER - anyone who reads the news understands that THE ENTIRE NATION IS REGULATING POWER

4 - They are using industrial floodlights to light the location, but have been experiencing power flickering tonight

5 - THIS IS NOT A WEBCAM - its a television camera set up by TBS/JNN capturing the feed from outside the evacuation zone. If you look at the videos on my youtube channel you get a picture
This shows how far away the camera is

However this has happened 3 times this week, and on average we see this much displacement at least 2 times a week for the last 3 weeks running, if you haven't seen it, you just haven't been watching.

Re: -= Possible fire at Fukushima as large amounts of smoke come from Reactor 4 =-
I always have the stream running in the on one of my monitors just to keep an eye on the situation. And I noticed about 20 minutes ago a fairly large amount of smoke was coming from reactor 4, and slightly less from reactor 3.

While I was waiting to see if anything more major would happen from this they started dimming the lights on the plant and then completely shut them off making the plant unviewable by the camera since it's night there.

Link to the cam: [link to www.youtube.com]

You can sorta see the smoke in this camera on the tepco site which updates with still images: [link to www.tepco.co.jp]

I'll look to see if any news stories come up about it over the next few hours.

(while I was typing this I noticed the lights flicker back on for a few seconds and the smoke was still coming from reactor 4)

There are 2 fires going on right now.. you have to look hard to spot them though.

i mean this is from like 40 miles out, dont forget.

Where is the fabled camera situated?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1155273

:::epic facepalm:::

It actually is on a mountain quite far from the nuclear plant and it's mega zoomed in, which is why the quality is so poor..

Remember, the webcam must be outside the mandatory evac zone...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1220093

Name the mountain, please so I can find it on google maps and get a perspective.

I have an idea, why don't you pull your finger out of your ass and research it yourself? I think I speak for most on here when I say we don't give a flying feck what your opinion is or what you have to say. Man, no one here thinks the cam is fake... that's not what the threads about either. Thinking the cam is fake is simply just retarded.
 Quoting: Rane

I think it is. Now you explain please the light source on the reactors only. There are people there around the clock that would have lights on the plant as a whole.

And why the quality of this video should differ from any other webcam?

It looks like one of their daytime photos of the prop has been scaled down and appears on a black screen to be "night'.

So the gray fog screen, that's "day" and this is night?
Has it ever rained since you have been watching?
Ever seen any activity at all except the bird soundtrack?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1155273

putin

Yes, I've seen it rain, fog, waves in the background, birds fly by, ships out in the sea when the destroyers were there, the fires that happened the first time, machinery moving around, helicopters flying over. I've seen loads there...

And this nuclear power plant was hit by an earthquake, massive explosion, multiple fires and is currently in the middle of a melt down. So stop comparing it to other plants with your flickr pics wondering why it dosn't look all pretty and perfect.
 Quoting: Rane

What is the light source on the reactors only?
Show me another example of television footage shot from 40 miles away. I can't find any myself.

Waves in the background?
There is a seawall there and it is BEHIND the long turbine room which isn't even shown in the photo and you see waves?
None of the round liquid containers. The parking lot which is on a higher elevation. Nothing for 40 miles in between this "mountain" and the plant? You know, before the exclusion zone, there should have been something there.

Yes. Didn't the NRC say that there was 0% of a containment vessel leaking and now there are 5-6 onsite that have ruptured containment vessels with corium eating through the basement cement as we speak, headed for the water table. They knew once something like this happened the GAME was UP. They knew the dangers of nuclear power yet continued to push it and falsify data to trick the public and continue their money making schemes.
