~~~Arnie Gundersen Latest Video on Fukushima - In The US, We Could Not Ride Out A Loss Of Power To Our Nuclear Plants~~~
In Arnie Gundersen's latest video he makes the statement that most nuclear powerplants in the U.S. have a battery power life of only 4 HOURS, and that we could not ride out the loss of power like Fukushima.
With the next solar maximum predicted to peak around 2012, could the possibility exist that another Carrington-type event could happen, causing worldwide power outages for extended lengths of time?
"But the big fear is what might happen to the electrical grid, since power surges caused by solar particles could blow out giant transformers. Such transformers can take a long time to replace, especially if hundreds are destroyed at once"
"The eastern half of the U.S. is particularly vulnerable, because the power infrastructure is highly interconnected, so failures could easily cascade like chains of dominoes"
"Imagine large cities without power for a week, a month, or a year. The losses could be $1 to $2 trillion, and the effects could be felt for years"
We must ask the quesion, how will the nuclear reactors in the US be cooled if an extended power outage occurred???
Food for thought.
i have,
he, like all the rest of the 'truthers', are telling lies about a nuclear incident that never happened. none of them have been cleared to talk about it being a staged psyop.
anyone else notice how arnie is no longer really talking about fukushima directly anymore and only talking generally about nuclear energy?
I think he's been talked to.
he's not given any real details about the dangers of fukushima to the US in a while....
thats unfortunate
