Flyer Calls for "Jihad" Against the LAPD

KFI NEWS has obtained a copy of a flyer that´s been circulated in South Los Angeles, calling on members of two violent street gangs to join the Nation of Islam in a jihad, or holy war, against the LAPD.

This is truly disturbing and I really hope it turns out to either be a hoax or a one-time occurrence that gathers no support or sympathy. And where are the community leaders who should be crying out against this? Rev. Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the usuals. By not saying anything are they endorsing this outrageous flyer promoting attacking the LAPD? If a flyer like this was distributed promoting "jihad" on certain gangs, ethnic or occupational group, I’m sure they’d be crawling over each other to protest and decry it.

About the looting.. If the born again neo-con fascist government lets them eat cake, they have to get it somewhere.. Is not looting in my book. There are of course people who will go looting after such a disaster, some always do.. but if people looose everything and there is a wall-maret where they maybe can get some food or something.. they have a go ahead from me...

What are the people thinking. If there was a disaster in my neigbopurhood and there was a wall-mart too... of course i would go there and take some food and water for my family.. or friends or someone who needs something but cannot go by her/himself...

I think it is a bad thing for the COPS to break the law.

The looting didn´t need to be ´looting´ at all if the cops had ´requisitioned´ the items in the Walmart, and set up a distribution for those who needed it. That is what those cops should have been doing.

The biggest problem in New Orleans was that there was no organization. It wouldn´t have been that much to set up a ´refugee camp´ for a couple of days, organized the people into triage groups, set up a trash area, set up a potty area. Cleaned up after themselves. Set up a communication center. Set up an area with an awning, to give cover against the sun!

I know how to do these things because I went to a Fire Department Volunteer Emergency Response Team class. Surely, there were people in NO that had the same kind of training. It is minimal.

The items that were looted should have become some kind of community property that was doled out by local leaders. None of this happened. Lives could have been saved if there was any kind of local leadership at all.

If this happened in my area, I would have been the first at the grocery stores. I hope that the local FD or PD or volunteer CERT response team would be there organizing for the disaster first.

Im not located in the LA area but am familiar with these issues of racism and police abuses of power(Utah Rave most recently).LAPD is widely known for its terrible track record on race relations within the community,this no secret. There is so much footage and documented examples of their failiure to act within the guidlines that they themselves have established. They have gone year after year without accountability.

IMO if this reaches the boil point in LA I believe it will spill over into the rest of the Nation including Canada which has the same horrible problems as well with the law enforcement agency´s there.

I hope it doesnt happen, but it is very possible now with all thats going on.
