Well.. Warrant or not, let's think about this... Scenario A: Cops come, and you let them in, You calmly answer their questions and they quickly realize they got the wrong house or the guy they are looking for is not there, then they leave. No harm, no foul, no-one gets shot, tazed or taken to jail. Scenario B: You get all sanctimonious about your damn "rights" and "resist" the police. OK great. You get roughed up and/or tazed and now you've got an assault police/resisting arrest charge that you have to pay thousands to defend. After you make bail, that is. Seriously people, that's what that ruling is about. The street is not the place to argue the finer points of law. Your recourse as a citizen that has been subjected to a wrongful search is to file a complaint and deal with it like a civilized person, no grab and AR and end up dead over nothing. |

This is not how it should be viewed. They come to the door, you ask for a warrant, if they have one, they come in, if they don't send them packing till they get one. The Magna Carta has been in place since early 1200's. The people deserve the protection against unwarranted entry. |
