At one time, kava kava was recommended to encourage both lucid dreaming and remembering them too.

The primary way to induce a lucid dream is to set the alarm to wake up early, stay awake for ten minutes, then go back to sleep. Works like a champ for me. Makes it way easier to do the things you're asking.

Most likely the kava kava creates an intense dream, and hence memorable.

Calea Z., I think is supposed to help, but is hit or miss with some people.

I think Shaman's Garden offers a pretty gnarly blend of 'dream herbs' including Calea Z. It can be either smoked or brewed.

Bought some a long time ago but never tried it.

Not affiliated with them, but I should also add that Shaman's Garden has all sorts of other nifty botanicals to look at (nothing illegal; just fun and exotic).

The Dollar Tree store nearby sells a supplement perfect for LD's and it's only 1 dollar. It contains Valerian, camomile, and melatonin.

i second mugwort. a cup of tea before bed and a bag of it under the pillow.

i use dream blend from mountainrose herbs. nice blend and super tasty.

African Dream Root. I started to take it as a tea a couple of months ago. I got sick and stopped taking it. From reading different forums it take a good 4-5 days before you notice the dreams. It is for both dreams and lucid dreaming. I started to notice the dreaming pick up after a couple of days.
This stuff works. I will start back soon.
